摘要: A decoder compares a spectral envelope value y8 on a frequency axis with a predetermined threshold f9 to identify a voiced region and an unvoiced region. An excitation signal is produced by using excitations suitable for respective frequency regions. An encoder applies the nonuniform quantization to the period of the aperiodic pitch in accordance with its frequency of occurrence. The result of the nonuniform quantization is transmitted together with the quantization result of the unvoiced state and the periodic pitch as one code. A decoder obtains spectral envelope amplitude l8′ from the spectral envelope information, and identifies a frequency band e10′ where the spectral envelope amplitude value is maximized in each of respective bands divided on the frequency axis. A mixing ratio g8′, which is used in mixing a pitch pulse generated in response to the pitch period information and white noise, is determined based on the identified frequency band and voiced/unvoiced discriminating information. A mixing signal of each frequency band is produced in accordance with the mixing ratio. Then, the mixing signals of respective frequency bands are summed up to produce a mixed excitation signal x8′.

摘要: A speech coding transmission system is disclosed in which a coder of a differential coding system quantizes a difference between a predictive value from an adaptive predictor and an input speech signal by an adaptive quantizer in accordance with the level of the latter and to send out the resulting coded signal to transmission medium, and a decoder outputs a reproduced speech signal on the basis of a residual signal obtained by inversely quantizing a received coded signal with an inverse adaptive quantizer and a predictive value from an adaptive predictor. Both or either one of the coder and the decoder includes a comparator-attenuator which attenuates the amplitude of the input signal or reproduced speech signal to a value smaller than a predetermined threshold value and applies to the amplitude-attenuated speech signal to the adaptive predictor.

摘要: A voice coding communication system in case of applying an adaptive differential PCM system in which a discontinuous transmitter is provided at the transmitting side to reduce its power consumption, transmission is suspended during a silent duration, and a pseudo-noise is generated at the receiving side and is used as the reproduced output during the silent duration. Discomfort is avoided in hearing the reproduced voice which is caused by the difference between the level of the pseudo-noise and the level of a background noise at the transmitting side.

摘要: A perpendicular magnetic head of high recording and reproducing efficiency which integrally incorporates a step-up transformer. A main pole for picking up a reproduce magnetic flux from a recording medium and applying recording magnetic field thereto is formed of a magnetic thin film. A signal winding formed of a thin film is disposed in the immediate vicinity of the forward end of the main pole so as to have a high conversion sensitivity per turn with respect to the reproduce magnetic flux from the recording medium. The signal winding which itself constitutes a closed circuit interlinks a magnetic path of the step-up transformer, thereby forming a primary winding of the transformer. A secondary winding from which head output is taken out is wound in the magnetic path of the transformer.
