摘要: A method includes receiving metrics associated with traffic that complies with a grade of service (GOS) associated with a customer premises equipment (CPE) device, where the metrics identify a group of cells via which the traffic is received by the CPE device. The method also includes retrieving information associated with traffic conditions within a group of base stations; initiating a load balancing operation when traffic conditions within a base station indicate that a particular cell, associated with the base station, is congested; and sending, to a set of base stations that send traffic to the CPE device, a notification, where the notification causes traffic, not destined for the CPE device, to be rerouted to another base station, which enables the base station to send traffic, that complies with the GOS, to the CPE device, or causes the CPE device to receive traffic, that complies with the GOS, from a further based station.

摘要: A computer system that segments a colon for a computed tomography colonography (CTC) is described. During operation, the computer system accesses imaging data having a spatial resolution. Then, the computer system identifies the colon lumen based on probabilities for different tissue classes in the imaging data. Moreover, the computer system segments the colon into subsegments based on an articulated object model that fits a tortuosity of the colon along a centerline of the colon, where the articulated object model includes values of an orthonormal basis set, curvature and torsion along the centerline, and where boundaries between subsegments are based on the curvature and die torsion. For example, a given boundary between a pair of subsegments may corresponds to or may be related to a minimum value of the curvature and a maximum value of the torsion over a length of the colon.

摘要: A user device receives an instruction to access an application, of one or more applications being provisioned via one or more base stations; obtains service quality information, associated with the application, where the service quality information identifies one or more quality thresholds associated with one or more frequency bands to be used to access the application; measures a first level of service quality associated with traffic being received via a first frequency band and a second level of service quality associated with traffic being received via a second frequency band; and accesses the application using one of the first frequency band or the second frequency band based on a determination that another one of the first level of service quality or the second level of service quality is less than a threshold, of the one or more quality thresholds.

摘要: A device receives first information about a wireless communication service within a venue. The device further receives, from one or more small cells within the venue, second information about traffic load of the one or more small cells. The device generates third information based on the first information and the second information. The third information assigns network resources to one or more services provided to mobile devices, within the venue, via the small cells. The device transmits the third information to configure the one or more small cells.

摘要: A device may receive, from a base station, information that identifies traffic conditions within the base station; and may assign one or more different frequency bands to each of one or more applications being provisioned, by the base station, to one or more user devices based on the information that identifies the traffic conditions within the base station. The device may also generate allocation information that identifies how the different frequency bands are allocated to each of the applications; and transmit, via the base station, the allocation information to the user devices, where transmitting the allocation information allows a user device to identify a frequency band with which to obtain an application.

摘要: Interference, from fixed wireless terminals, communicating with, for example, an LTE network, can be intelligently reduced for nearby public safety networks. A fixed terminal may, for instance, determine a signal strength of radio signals from a public safety wireless network, and perform a threshold comparison of the signal strength to determine whether the fixed terminal is located in an edge area of a cell of the public safety wireless network. The fixed terminal may reduce transmission power, to the network of the fixed terminal (e.g., the LTE network), when the threshold comparison indicates that the device is located in the edge area of the cell of the public safety wireless network.
