Abstract:
Disclosed are systems, methods, and computer readable media for converting a natural language query into a logical query. The method embodiment comprises receiving a natural language query and converting the natural language query using an extensible engine to generate a logical query, the extensible engine being linked to the toolkit and knowledge base. In one embodiment, a natural language query can be processed in a domain independent method to generate a logical query.
Abstract:
Devices, methods and systems for enhanced ringing features on communications terminals. Flexible user-established rules, customized in a subscriber profile database, enable the ring-tone to vary based on caller-id, caller priority, call-urgency (as determined by caller), call context and so forth. Call set-up logic applies the profile rules prior to completing the call set-up. “Buzz-tones” extend the basic distinctive ringing feature to the “silent” mode that is currently available on cell-phones, which is of particular utility to subscribers with hearing disabilities. Other kinds of alerts (audio/motion/visual) like flashing colors on a display, moving pictures and the like, and any combination of notification modes, are contemplated by alternative embodiments.
Abstract:
A method for fast I/O path failure detection and cluster wide failover. The method includes accessing a distributed computer system having a cluster including a plurality of nodes, and experiencing an I/O path failure for a storage device. An I/O failure message is generated in response to the I/O path failure. A cluster wide I/O failure message broadcast to the plurality of nodes that designates a faulted controller. Upon receiving I/O failure responses from the plurality of nodes, an I/O queue message is broadcast to the nodes to cause the nodes to queue I/O through the faulted controller and switch to an alternate controller. Upon receiving I/O queue responses from the plurality of nodes, an I/O failover commit message is broadcast to the nodes to cause the nodes to commit to a failover and un-queue their I/O.
Abstract:
Systems and procedures may be used to coordinate the fail-back of multiple hosts in environments where the hosts share one or more data-storage resources. In one implementation, a procedure for coordinating fail-backs includes monitoring a failed data path to detect a restoration of the data path, polling remaining nodes in response to the restoration, and allowing the first node to resume communications if access has been restored to the remaining nodes.
Abstract:
End-to-end testing of applications across networks is enabled. To test the application and the infrastructure subsystems, an application server connected to the network contains an application under test. A response simulator is connected to the other end of the network. A test module is accessible to the application and to the simulator and contains a test message to be transmitted to the simulator, and an expected response message from the simulator. The application transmits each test message and compares a response message from the simulator to an expected response message. The simulator obtains the response to each test message from the test module.
Abstract:
A message, which is to be routed to one of a plurality of authorized parties comprising a first authorized party and a second authorized party, is received by a routing system. A Web service is polled to detect for a presence of the first authorized party. After determining that the presence of the first authorized party remains undetected over an allocated time interval, the Web service is polled to detect for a presence of the second authorized party. In response to detecting the presence of the second authorized party, the message is routed to an active communication device associated with the second authorized party.
Abstract:
A service enhancement to emergency-911 capability involves a new entity termed an EESP which implements and operates a system that communicates subscriber-specific emergency information portably linked to subscriber identity in a timely fashion to emergency care providers.

Abstract:
A process for the production of organic and combination formulation of bio-pesticide containing Trichoderma harzianum and Pseudomonas fluorescens comprising preparation of mother culture, liquid fermentation as well as solid fermentation of T. harzianum, preparation of mother culture, liquid fermentation as well as solid fermentation of P. fluorescens separately, followed by mixing both the bio-pesticides in the proportion of 1-2: 1-2: preferably 1:1 to get the final combination, formulation.
Abstract:
A method for controlling data traffic within a storage area network can be provided. The method can comprise analyzing data for a path in a storage area network to determine whether the path should be identified as a less preferred path, and controlling data traffic routing to avoid use of a path identified as a less preferred path. In some embodiments, the data can be obtained from a host bus adaptor in the path. In some embodiments, the controlling can comprise throttling traffic over a path identified as a less preferred path.
