    摘要: An improved assembly for holding a filter element so as to define a filter assembly for removing particulate matter from a sample gas stream. First and second housing sections mount and enclose a replaceable filter element. An annular wall extending between the housing sections divides the interior of the housing into a first region open to an inlet, and a second region open to an outlet, the filter element being mounted in the second region, downstream of the wall. A plurality of openings through the wall assure that particulate matter collects evenly over the surface of the filter element. In this manner, the useful life of the filter element is greatly extended.

    摘要: An improved apparatus for facilitating the practice of a method for determining the conversion efficiency of the NOx converter of an oxides of nitrogen analyzer. An improved ozone control assembly facilitates the control of the ozone content of the gas mixture that is applied to the input of the analyzer. An improved gas flow regulating arrangement allows the composition of the gas mixture to be changed without affecting the flow rate thereof. Together, these structures improve the stability and ease of use of the conversion efficiency detector.

    摘要: An internal combustion engine analyzer is described which permits analysis to be performed by attaching one sensor to the engine circuit. Timing at idle, engine speed, plug firing parade, etc., can be performed with only one sensor connected to the engine. For more extensive testing wherein additional leads are used, for example, at both the primary and secondary of the engine ignition coil, circuitry is provided for automatically triggering from both primary and secondary input signals or either one if only one is present. The analyzer also contains circuitry that enhances its use with both standard and electronic ignition systems. This circuitry rejects the noise generated by ignition systems in the cylinder ignition signals representative of plug firing so as not to mistrigger, or fire more than once for each plug firing.
