    摘要: Provided in various example embodiments a mobile device integrated in a body that is sized and shaped to be held in a palm of a hand of a user, the mobile device configured to take a plurality of physiological measurements of a patient, including electrocardiographic measurements, blood oxygen saturation level measurements, pulse rate measurements, body temperature measurements, blood pressure measurements when connected with a removable inflatable cuff, and blood glucose measurements when connected with an elongated test strip, and to display and wirelessly communicate data corresponding to said physiological measurements. The mobile device may comprise some or all of the features of an Internet enabled smartphone. The mobile device may be provided with selectable modes of operation for use with one or more patients. Wireless peripherals may provide additional physiological data to the device. Systems are provided for secure communication and storage of data.

    摘要: A cleat for athletic shoes which provides a sole attachment member; a hub having a planar upper portion for contacting the shoe sole, a rounded lower portion for bearing weight of the user, and an edge; and resilient traction elements. The resilient elements are made up of an outward band extending from the periphery of the upper portion of the hub, an inner band extending from the periphery of the lower portion of the hub, a bottom band, a top band, and a space bordered by the outer band, the inner band, the bottom band and the top band. When the user is walking on soft surfaces, the traction elements provide traction and the lower portion of the hub does not bear weight. When the user is walking on hard surfaces, the resilient traction elements bend outwardly allowing the hub to contact the walking surface and bear weight. This allows for longer life of the traction elements as well as uniform contact.

    摘要: A safety system comprising a plurality of wearable transceiver devices for operation in independent use with a plurality of a landline-based phone and a cell phone to establish contact between a user of a wearable transceiver device and a central monitoring station. The wearable transceiver devices sense a crash or a fall and notify a monitor by a landline-based phone or a cell phone of this incident and the assisted GPS determined location of the incident. The information is provided to the monitor a short predetermined time following activation unless the device is deactivated by pressing a communication button. When the device has not been activated by a crash or fall, the user may press the communication button to communicate with the monitor to obtain a wide variety of services. A cell phone having reserve batteries, accelerometers, and assisted GPS location capabilities is also disclosed.
