摘要： A method for displaying an idle screen, which is varied depending on a specific condition of a mobile communication terminal, for better graphic impressions. When the user of the mobile communication terminal travels between countries, and a border crossing is detected, a landmark image of a corresponding country is displayed on the idle screen. In addition, an animation effect is displayed on the idle screen so as to inform of the occurrence of the corresponding event. Accordingly, a novel graphic effect is provided to the user via a user interface having enhanced entertaining features.

摘要： A method and system for handling a message are provided. A terminal can translate a message composed by the user into a target language and send the translated message to a recipient terminal. The terminal can also translate a received message written in a language other than the language selected by the user into the language selected by the user and display the translated message. The method includes composing, by a sender terminal, a message, checking whether a translation feature is activated for message translation, transmitting, when the translation feature is not activated, the composed message to a receiver terminal, and translating, when the translation feature is activated, the composed message, and transmitting the translated message to the receiver terminal.

The mobile terminal includes a display panel for outputting a screen assigned to a user function, and a control unit for collecting screen ratio information based on at least one of a proportion of a current screen on the display panel to a full screen assigned to the user function and a ratio of enlargement or reduction by zooming, and for automatically adjusting an amount of screen changes for an input signal according to the screen ratio information.

Particularly, the dialing screen (such as an alphanumeric character inputting screen) displays status information including network status information, time-zone information of a transmitting side or receiving side, etc., which can be provided through the mobile terminal, with graphic elements thereof embossed. Therefore, it is possible to output a dialing screen in which specific status information is reflected, so that the various tastes of the users can be reflected in the dialing screen and simultaneously visibility of the transmitted information increases. The method may include the steps of determining a received signal strength and a current time zone of the mobile communication terminal and displaying an animation data on a background image wherein the animation data changes based on the strength of the received signal.
