摘要： A mobile terminal and idle screen display method for the same are provided. The mobile terminal includes a memory unit for storing an idle screen image, a display unit for displaying the idle screen image, an input means for generating a selection signal to select a zone of the idle screen image, and a control unit for controlling transmission of the idle screen image from the memory unit to the display unit, for zooming-in, and for displaying a selected zone of the idle screen image.

摘要： A portable terminal and a method for displaying an idle screen of the portable terminal are provided. The terminal includes a Radio Frequency (RF) unit for receiving signal from an external, a memory for storing a plurality of image elements comprising an idle screen image (IDLE_Img), a key input unit for generating a key input signal, a display unit for displaying the IDLE_Img, a battery for supplying necessary power to a terminal, and a controller for controlling receiving/transmitting signals between the respective components comprising the RF unit, the memory, the key input unit, the display unit and the battery, and for controlling the IDLE_Img to be displayed differently from a preset image according to system internal information parameter (Sys_Info) generated in response to changes of the respective components.

摘要： A mobile communication terminal and method are provided. The terminal displays an animation icon associated with active information on a wait screen. A determination is made as to whether a motion of the animation icon is associated with active information of the mobile communication terminal, and the animation icon according to the active information is moved when the motion of the animation icon is associated with active information. Since the animation icon displayed on the wait screen is associated with the active information, a user can easily check the active information of the mobile communication terminal through the animation icon. Also, the present invention increases visibility of active information of the mobile communication terminal and provides new user interfaces.

The time display apparatus includes a digit symbol memory for storing digit symbols representing both numerical time values and the passage of time; a symbol color memory for storing digit color information to change colors of time values; a time counter for measuring the time; a controller for determining digit symbols suitable for display of a current time value and associated color information, and for outputting a time display control signal; an image processor for generating a current time representation image using the determined digit symbols and associated color information, and for outputting an image change signal to represent the passage of time in a time unit less than a minimum time unit of the current time representation image; and a display unit for displaying a current time value according to the current time representation image and image change signal.

The touch-sensitive device receives an input from a touch-based user interaction on a home screen of the touch sensitive device and creates a new folder in response to at least one object selected by the user interaction. The touch based folder control visually disposes the new folder at a specific place on the home screen.

摘要： A mobile terminal supporting detachable memory cards and a method for managing the detachable memory cards attached to the mobile terminal is provided. The detachable memory card management method of the present invention includes displaying, if at least two memory cards are detected, icons representing the memory cards on an idle mode screen, detecting selection of at least one of the icons, and creating files, stored in a source memory card represented by one of the selected icons, in a destination memory card represented by another icon. The detachable memory card management method of the present invention is capable of displaying the card icons representing the memory cards attached to the mobile terminal on the idle mode screen such that the user can identify the attached memory cards.
