The motor vehicle steering device includes variable gear ratio system that modifies the transmission ratio of the rotary motions between first steering shaft and second steering shaft. Variable gear ratio system comprises Strain Wave Gearing Speed Reducer that modifies the transmission ratio between first steering shaft and second steering shaft in response to the rotating speed of motor shaft. Motor shaft and second steering shaft forms a substantially concentric dual structure, drive motor is affixed, and output shaft is connected to motor shaft.

    摘要: A power steering system which includes a fluid source that supplies pressure fluid of a constant flow rate, a fluid motor for supplementing manual steering torque, a servo-valve for distributing fluid to the fluid motor, and a reaction device for applying hydraulic reaction or feeling to a steering wheel. A magnetic control valve is connected to the reaction device to control fluid pressure applied thereto in accordance with a vehicle operating condition, such a vehicle speed. A flow dividing valve serves to divide the pressure fluid of a constant flow rate in a predetermined ratio into first and second flows which are respectively directed to the servo-valve and reaction device. A bypass conduit provided with a bypass orifice is connected between the fluid source and the servo-valve in parallel relation with the flow dividing valve.

    摘要: There is disclosed a hydraulic reaction mechanism which is easy to manufacture and for use with an automotive power steering system. The mechanism has an input shaft and an output shaft which are rotatable relative to each other and mounted in a housing. A servovalve is mounted between the shafts and actuated in response to the relative movement between the shafts. Radially protruding portions are formed at the end of the input shaft that is on the side of the output shaft. The output shaft has an enlarged portion provided with cylinder holes in which reaction pistons are received. The pistons hydraulically push both sides of the radially protruding portions. The pistons have grooves in which retaining plates for restricting rearward movement of the pistons are engaged.

    摘要: An oil pump apparatus, including a pump mechanism portion for discharging operating fluid, a valve-receiving bore formed in a housing, a flow control valve arranged in the valve-receiving bore connected to a bypass hole, and a bypass passage. The bypass passage is connected to the bypass hole, having a space radially extending from an edge of the bypass hole in a fluid stream direction of the excess operating fluid spouting from an opening area of the bypass hole. When fluid stream of the excess operating fluid reaches the inner surface of the bypass passage, the pressure of the excess operating fluid has been weaken sufficiently because fluid stream of the excess operating fluid is diffused by the long span of the bypass passage extended from the edged of the bypass hole. Therefore, the inner surface of the bypass passage is protected from cavitation damages and erosion.

    摘要: A vane pump for use in a power steering device comprising a pump housing receiving a cam ring therein. A pair of side plates are disposed at opposite side of the cam ring in contact relationship therewith. A pump rotor rotatable integrally with a drive shaft is received in an internal cam bore of the cam ring. An end cover is secured to the pump housing in contact relationship with one of the side plates to cover an open end of the pump housing. A first positioning pin is fitted at one end thereof into an inner end wall of the pump housing for positioning the first and second side plates in a circumferential direction. A second positioning pin is fitted at one end thereof into one of the first and second side plates for positioning the cam ring in the circumferential direction.

    摘要: A hydraulic fluid discharged from a pump is delivered to a power steering device from a supply passage through a restricted passage and a throttled passage so that as the flow through the supply passage increases in response to an increase in the number of revolutions of the pump, the flow path resistance presented by the restricted passage increases the pressure prevailing in the supply passage to cause a control spool to control the flow area of the throttled passage, thus decreasing the flow delivered to the power steering device. In this manner, a constant and invariable flow decrease characteristic can be maintained despite a loading pressure upon the power steering device, thus enhancing the stability under high speed running conditions. A mechanism to provide a variable control of the flow delivered to the power steering device is provided in a union which is fixedly mounted in one end of a bore in a pump housing.

A steering wheel shaft 11 and an output shaft 22 are supported in a housing 21 attached to a steering column 13, to be rotatable on the same axis; first and second sun gears 45, 46 different slightly in the number of gear teeth are formed on facing end portions of the steering wheel shaft and the output shaft; first and second planetary gears 53, 54 meshing with the first and second sun gears are supported on a carrier 47; and a worm shaft 58 meshing with a worm wheel 57 connected rotationally to the carrier is constructed to be rotatable by a motor 43 which is provided on the housing in a direction perpendicular to the rotational axis of the steering wheel shaft and the output shaft. Thus, it can be realized to eliminate any spiral cable and to obtain a transmission ratio variable steering device 10 which is space-saving.

    摘要: In a pump housing of a pump apparatus, a pump shaft is rotatably supported by two bearings and is connected to a pump unit. A rotary drive member is fixed to one end of the pump shaft projecting from the tip end portion of the housing. The rotary drive member includes a boss portion fixed to the one end of the pump shaft projecting from the housing, and a rim portion integral with the boss portion. The rim portion is offset from the boss portion to cover at least a portion of the tip end portion of the housing. A groove portion for receiving a drive belt is formed on the outer circumference of the rim portion. The widthwise center plane of the groove portion is located between the respective centers of the two bearings. In place of the groove portion, a tooth portion engageable with a drive gear may be formed on the outer circumference of the rim portion. Preferably, the pump unit is of a balanced vane type.
