摘要： A device for an adjustable piece of seating and reclining furniture with an adjustable angle between the seat and the back of the piece of furniture, wherein on each side of the piece of furniture there is located a fitting projecting upwards from its base, the seat being tiltable about a forward suspension point on the fitting, and the back being tiltable about a rear suspension point on the fitting, wherein the back upon tilting backwards causes the seat to tilt backwards in that a link is pivotally fastened to a rear part of the seat frame and pivotally fastened to a lower part of the back frame, the pivotal connection of the link to the back frame being located behind and below said rear suspension point. On an increase in the angle between the seat and the back, the angle that the neck rest of the piece of furniture forms with the back is reduced. When the piece of seating and reclining furniture is equipped with a foot/leg rest, an activator for this rest and an activator for changing said angle between the seat and the back are controllable by one single, common control lever or control handle. To improve the user's comfort in such an adjustable piece of seating and reclining furniture, the piece of furniture may have an arm rest configured with a hoop-like forward facing frame, the frame having a rear part which at the top is pivotally connected to a first end of a connecting link, the second end of the connecting link forming a pivotal attachment to the back frame, and the rear part of the frame at the bottom being pivotally connected to a fitting that extends up from the base of the piece of furniture.

摘要： An adjustable chair in which the mutual angle between seat (1; 1') and backrest (2; 2') may be changed, with a stationary fixture (3; 3') provided at each of the sidepieces of the chair, with seat (1; 1') being mounted to be tiltable about a fixed point (4; 4') on the fixture and with backrest (2; 2') being mounted to be tiltable about a fixed rear point (5; 5') on fixture (3; 3'). Below said rear fixed point a spigot (12; 12') projects laterally from the lower portion of the backrest and is designed to slide in a slide groove (11; 11') which slopes rearwards, downwards in a side piece (25; 25') of seat (1; 1'). At least one mechanism (7, 8; 7', 8') of optionally adjustable length forms the connection between a mounting point (6, 6') of said fixture (3, 3') and a lower point (9, 9') of the backrest for activation of said mechanism to cause movement of the spigot in said slide groove. When the backrest is moved backwards the rear edge of the seat will tilt downwards, and when the backrest is moved forwards the rear edge of the seat will tilt upwards.

摘要： A foot rest of a chair includes a seat connected to a frame of the chair. A foot rest is connected to the frame of the chair. The foot rest comprises an inner extendable supporting member to support the rear side of the legs of a user and is pivotably connected to the frame of the chair. The foot rest further comprises an outer supporting member for placing the feet of a user thereon. The supporting members are pivotably linked to each other to permit a stowed position of the supporting members when not being used and an unfolded position when in use, respectively. The two supporting members are pivotably linked to each other by a linking mechanism disposed between the supporting members. The linking mechanism permits the two supporting members to define an angle therebetween from 0.degree. to 180.degree. corresponding to a stowed position and a fully opened position, respectively, such that in the stowed position a support surface of the inner supporting member faces a support surface of the outer supporting member. At least one of the two mutually linked supporting members is pivotably linked to a foldable flap, so as to provide a plurality of sitting positions for the user of the chair by combining the angular mutual position of the supporting members and the foldable flap.
