    摘要： A foot rest assembly releasably attaches to a vehicle seat and is positionable underneath a child safety seat to support the child's feet and help prevent the vehicle seat from getting dirty. The assembly includes a panel having a top surface, a bottom surface and a perimeter edge coupled to and extending between the top surface and the bottom surface. An upper section of the panel is planar and horizontally oriented when the upper section is positioned on a vehicle seat underneath a child safety seat. A lower section of the panel is coupled to and extends from the upper section wherein the lower section supports a user's feet and legs when the user is seated in the child safety seat. A coupler is attached to the panel and releasably couples the panel to the vehicle seat.

    摘要： In an aspect, a leg support for a vehicle occupant is provided, and includes a leg support base and a leg engagement member. The leg support base is connected (or is connectable) to a center console of the vehicle. The leg engagement member may be integral with the leg support base or may be extendable from the leg support base. The leg engagement member is configured to engage the laterally outer face of a lower leg of a vehicle occupant. The leg engagement member has a leg engagement surface that has a lower edge and an upper edge. The lower edge is positioned to engage the lower leg of the vehicle occupant above the lateral malleolus of the fibula of the vehicle occupant. The upper edge is positioned to engage the lower leg of the vehicle occupant above a midpoint of the fibula and below the superior epiphysis of the fibula. The leg engagement member is positionable to support the lower leg of the vehicle occupant in such a way that the upper leg and the lower leg extend in a common plane that is substantially parallel to the sagittal plane of the vehicle occupant.

In yet other embodiments, the leg-rest assembly includes a foot-rest pan and a single frame with at least two foot-rest slides, where the foot-rest pan is coupled to the foot-rest slides. In these embodiments, the leg-rest assembly may also include a foot-rest bar.

    摘要： A seat having a movable armrest which is retractable to a lowermost position so that a user can obtain greater access to the seat. In a first embodiment, a horizontal shaft pivotably supports a rear portion of the armrest to allow the forward portion of the armrest to be pivoted downwardly. When the armrest is in the unretracted position, a locking device is provided for firmly locking the forward portion of the armrest to the seat frame. In the second embodiment of the invention, a pair of rails are secured to the frame of the seat and a pair of guides are respectively secured to the forward and rear portions of the armrest. The guides are respectively received in the rails to allow the rails to be translated downwardly to allow greater access to the seat. When the armrest is in the unretracted position, the guides are secured to the rails so that the armrest is retained firmly in place.

    摘要： A foot rest of a chair includes a seat connected to a frame of the chair. A foot rest is connected to the frame of the chair. The foot rest comprises an inner extendable supporting member to support the rear side of the legs of a user and is pivotably connected to the frame of the chair. The foot rest further comprises an outer supporting member for placing the feet of a user thereon. The supporting members are pivotably linked to each other to permit a stowed position of the supporting members when not being used and an unfolded position when in use, respectively. The two supporting members are pivotably linked to each other by a linking mechanism disposed between the supporting members. The linking mechanism permits the two supporting members to define an angle therebetween from 0.degree. to 180.degree. corresponding to a stowed position and a fully opened position, respectively, such that in the stowed position a support surface of the inner supporting member faces a support surface of the outer supporting member. At least one of the two mutually linked supporting members is pivotably linked to a foldable flap, so as to provide a plurality of sitting positions for the user of the chair by combining the angular mutual position of the supporting members and the foldable flap.
