Abstract: An apparatus comprises a memory communicatively coupled to a processor. The memory may be configured to store tag identifiers, asset names, geofences, and asset location information. The processor may be configured to obtain a tag identifier and an asset name of a tagged device; determine whether the asset location information comprises global positioning coordinates of the tagged device. Further, in response to determining that the asset location information comprises the global positioning coordinates, the processor may be configured to determine that the tagged device is located in a predefined area based at least in part upon matching the global positioning coordinates to a geofence; and generate an update indicating that the tagged device is located in the predefined area. In response to determining that the asset location information does not comprise the global positioning coordinates, generate an alert indicating that the tagged device is not located in the predefined area.

Abstract: A modulating refrigeration system includes an evaporation unit and a condensing unit. The evaporation unit generates a first output airflow comprising a lower temperature, a lower relative humidity, or both than a first supply airflow and directs the first output airflow into a building. The condensing unit generates a second output airflow at a higher temperature than a second supply airflow and discharges the second output airflow to an unconditioned space. The evaporation unit comprises a first valve operable to direct a portion of refrigerant to a secondary evaporator and primary evaporator or to direct the entire flow of refrigerant to the primary evaporator and bypassing the secondary evaporator.

Abstract: A dehumidification system includes a compressor, a primary evaporator, a primary condenser, a secondary evaporator, a secondary condenser, a modulating valve, and an alternate condenser. The secondary evaporator receives an inlet airflow and outputs a first airflow to the primary evaporator. The primary evaporator receives the first airflow and outputs a second airflow to the secondary condenser. The secondary condenser receives the second airflow and outputs a third airflow to the primary condenser. The primary condenser receives the third airflow and outputs a dehumidified airflow. The compressor receives a flow of refrigerant from the primary evaporator and provides the flow of refrigerant to the modulating valve. The modulating valve directs the flow of refrigerant to the primary condenser and to the alternate condenser. The alternate condenser receives a portion of the flow of refrigerant for heat rejection, where the primary condenser receives the remaining portion of the flow of refrigerant.

Abstract: A system for obtaining water and carbon dioxide from an incoming first gas stream. The system comprises a first inlet for said incoming first gas stream, a first sorbent station comprising a first sorbent material for removing water vapour from said first gas stream, a second sorbent station comprising a second sorbent material for removing carbon dioxide from said first gas stream; and a first exhaust for said first gas stream. The system is configured to flow said first gas stream through the first inlet, the first sorbent station, the second sorbent station and the first exhaust. The system may be used in an environmentally controlled facility for growing plant material or in a building space conditioning. The present invention may therefore enable plant cultivation and/or building space conditioning whilst removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and therefore may help to combat climate change and benefit the environment, if implemented on a sufficient scale.

Abstract: A portable dehumidifier includes a cabinet and two wheel mounting brackets. Each wheel mounting bracket is configured to secure one of two wheels to the cabinet. Each wheel mounting bracket includes an inside member, a bottom member, a top member, and an outside member. The inside member includes a first axle aperture for one end of an axle. The bottom member includes one or more mounting apertures configured to permit one or more fasteners to couple the wheel mounting bracket assembly to a bottom side of a cabinet. The outside member includes a second axle aperture for another end of the axle. The top member couples the outside member to the inside member and is coupled to an end of the inside member opposite to the bottom member. The top member includes one or more locating pins configured to be inserted into one or more locating apertures in the cabinet.

Abstract: A method for controlling a fan of a dehumidifier includes performing a first step of obtaining an ambient temperature, an exhaust temperature, and a delta temperature that is a difference between the ambient temperature and the exhaust temperature. The method further include determining, after performing the first step, whether the delta temperature is within a delta temperature range. If the delta temperature is within the delta temperature range, the method proceeds back to the first step. If the delta temperature is not within the delta temperature range, the method performs a second step of determining an adjusted fan speed using the delta temperature. The method further includes performing, after performing the second step, a third step of setting the fan speed to the determined adjusted fan speed.

Abstract: A dehumidification system includes a desiccant, a primary heat exchanger, a secondary heat exchanger, three fans, and a burner. The first fan generates a carbon dioxide airflow through the primary heat exchanger and the secondary heat exchanger. The burner generates a flame into one end of the primary heat exchanger. The flame increases an amount of carbon dioxide within the carbon dioxide airflow. The second fan generates a reactivation airflow that flows over a portion of the secondary heat exchanger, a portion of the primary heat exchanger, and then through a first portion of the desiccant in order to dry the desiccant. The third fan generates a process airflow that flows through a second portion of the desiccant in order to provide dehumidification to the process airflow.

Abstract: An apparatus comprises an air inlet configured to receive an inlet airflow. The inlet airflow comprises a process airflow and a bypass airflow. An evaporator unit receives a flow of refrigerant and is cools the process airflow by facilitating heat transfer from the process airflow to the flow of refrigerant. A condenser unit receives the flow of refrigerant and (1) reheats the process airflow by facilitating heat transfer from the flow of refrigerant to the process airflow, and (2) heats the bypass airflow by facilitating heat transfer from the flow of refrigerant to the bypass airflow. The process airflow is discharged via a process airflow outlet and the bypass airflow is discharged via a bypass airflow outlet.

Abstract: A dehumidifying ventilator includes a dehumidistat switch and a user-selection switch coupled to the dehumidistat switch. The dehumidistat switch is operable to enable and disable dehumidification of the dehumidifying ventilator. The user-selection switch includes a plurality of user-selectable positions. Each position corresponds to a particular climate zone of a plurality of climate zones. Each climate zone corresponds to a particular relative humidity. The user-selection switch is operable to cause the dehumidistat switch to enable the dehumidification system when a relative humidity of the input airflow is greater than or equal to the particular relativity humidity of a selected position of the user-selection switch. The user-selection switch is further operable to cause the dehumidistat switch to disable the dehumidification system when the relative humidity of the input airflow is less than the particular relativity humidity of the selected position of the user-selection switch.
