Abstract: The disclosure notably relates to a computer-implemented method for analyzing the temporal evolution of a foam sample. The method comprises providing a time-series set of images of a foam sample subject to a shrinking process in a predetermined shrinking direction. The method also comprises generating a spatiotemporal diagram image from the time-series set of images. The spatiotemporal diagram image represents time evolution of a layout of the foam sample in the predetermined shrinking direction. The method also comprises segmenting the spatiotemporal diagram image into a set of segments. The method also comprises creating one or more curves that represent boundaries of the segments. This forms an improved solution for analyzing a foam sample.

Abstract: The disclosure describes a process for methanol synthesis remarkable in that it comprises the steps of (a) providing syngas (3), (b) providing at least one first catalytic composition (9) comprising at least one first methanol synthesis catalyst; (c) putting into contact said syngas (3) with said first catalytic composition (9) under first temperature conditions, to provide a first gaseous effluent (15); (d) providing at least one second catalytic composition (17) comprising at least one second methanol synthesis catalyst; (e) putting into contact at least a part of said first gaseous effluent (15) with said second catalytic composition (17), to provide a second gaseous effluent (23) and a second liquid effluent (21); (f) recovering methanol from first (15) and/or second (23) gaseous effluent. The use of a first catalytic composition (9) that comprises at least one first methanol synthesis catalyst in such a process for methanol synthesis is also described.

Abstract: It is proposed a measurement system comprising a source of pressurized gas configured to deliver a gas at a predetermined pressure, a longitudinal storing reservoir configured to store a liquid, a longitudinal receiving reservoir, a capillary tube and a measurement device. The measurement device is configured to perform a measurement relative to the flow of the liquid inside an inner chamber of the longitudinal receiving reservoir when the pressurized gas is provided in the inner chamber of the longitudinal storing reservoir by the source of pressurized gas. The longitudinal storing reservoir, the capillary tube and the longitudinal receiving reservoir are configured so as to be positioned horizontally during the measurement relative to the flow of the liquid. The system provides an improved solution for performing a measurement on a liquid in an easy, accurate and efficient manner.
