Abstract:
Comminution apparatus such as ball mills, pebble mills, vibration mills and the like are lined with a hollow, inflatable, resilient body made of a suitable elastomer such as rubber. The body is inflated hydraulically or pneumatically. In a typical case the cylinder of a mill is lined with a hollow tube formed as a helix.
Abstract:
An apparatus for concentrating ore and the like material having two chutes joined by a ridge-shaped portion and running in adjacent parallel relation and helically about a substantially vertical axis. The outer chute carries a mixture of a liquid and the material to be concentrated, and the inner chute carries the liquid by means of which the concentration is effected, the liquid being transferred from the inner chute to the outer chute by the centrifugal force. A groove is arranged in the ridgeshaped portion. A band which may have through holes is inserted in the groove and its projection from the groove is adjustable. The band serves as an adjustable overflow to enable precise control of the transfer of the liquid from the inner chute to the outer chute at successive portions along the length of the chutes.
Abstract:
A face piece for a protective mask is made from a natural or synthetic rubber or a plastic material and has a solid sealing rib projecting from the inner side of the face piece to engage the wearer''s face. The width of the sealing rib in the plane of the face piece is larger than the projection of the rib from the inner side of the face piece, and the surface of the rib engaging the wearer''s face is profiled to approximately follow the shape of the skull by varying the thickness of the rib longitudinally and transversally thereof.
Abstract:
A wear protection element adapted to varied planar and curved surfaces, made from an elastomer, preferably natural or synthetic rubber, and having sheet-like body member and projections or ridges integral with and projecting from the surface of the sheet-like body member. The projections which may segmented or continuous ridges have at least two side surfaces with different angles of inclination relative to the surface of the sheet-like member having the projections or ridges thereon.
Abstract:
A lining for rotary mills comprising lifting and lining elements renewable by rotation and of a star-shaped cross section having substantially uniform points. The elements of the lining may have inner cooling passages constituted by tubes. The tubes may serve as rotational axes and supporting elements for the elements of the lining.
