An electrically heated hair curling iron includes a sheet-shaped heater with electrodes affixed to an electrically resistive layer, wrapped around an elongated cylindrical support, and capable of being rapidly heated and maintained hot by electric current available from a rechargeable storage battery. The resistive layer has a positive temperature coefficient of resistance so that its temperature is self limiting. The storage battery is contained in a handle attached to the cylindrical support, and a battery charger is disclosed which comes into electrical contact with the battery when the handle is inserted in a cavity located in the battery charger. An elongated longitudinal clip is used to retain the hair in contact with the heater; a removable cap protects the heater and clip when the iron is not in use, and also engages a switch which ensures that the iron does not remain on. The charger and the curling iron are each provided with an LED to indicate operation of the charger and state of charge of the battery, respectively.

Disclosed are a cathode-ray tube dividing apparatus and a cathode-ray tube dividing method intended to simply and stably divide a cathode-ray tube in a shortened time. The dividing apparatus includes a positioning means for fixedly positioning the used cathode-ray tube at a specific location, and a cathode-ray tube heating means which is brought into contact with a specific portion on side surfaces of the cathode-ray tube for linearly heating the specific portions. The cathode-ray tube heating means includes linear heating members for imparting thermal strain to the side surfaces of the cathode-ray tube upon receiving a power, thereby dividing the cathode-ray tube into the panel portion and the funnel portion, and a power supply for supplying a heating power to the linear heating members. The power supply is adapted to supply a first power for generating cracks on the side surfaces of the cathode-ray tube to the linear heating members, and to supply, after generation of the cracks, a second power larger than the first power to the linear heating members.

The content of recovery polyethylene terephthalate in the total amount of the alloy is in the range of 5 to 80% by mass, and the window part comprises the polyethylene terephthalate resin, a polycarbonate resin or a polyphenylene ether resin as a constituting material.
