摘要: An electronic smoking article includes an outer tube extending in a longitudinal direction, an inner tube within the outer tube and including a pair of opposing slots, a liquid supply comprising a liquid material, a coil heater, a wick and a mouth end insert. The coil heater is located in the inner tube. The coil heater is formed of an iron-free, nickel-chromium alloy and has substantially uniformly spaced windings. The wick is surrounded by the coil heater such that the wick delivers liquid material to the coil heater and the coil heater heats the liquid material to a temperature sufficient to vaporize the liquid material and form an aerosol in the inner tube.

摘要: A smoking article may include a cigarette incorporated within an electrically powered aerosol generating device that acts as a holder for that cigarette. The smoking article possesses at least one form of tobacco. The smoking article also possesses a mouth-end piece that is used by the smoker to inhale components of tobacco that are generated by the action of heat upon components of the cigarette. A representative smoking article possesses an outer housing incorporating a source of electrical power (e.g., a battery), a sensing mechanism for powering the device at least during periods of draw, and a heating device (e.g., at least one electrical resistance heating element) for forming a thermally generated aerosol that incorporates components of tobacco. During use, the cigarette is positioned within the device, and after use, the used cigarette is removed from the device and replaced with another cigarette.

An elongate heating element extends through each of the bores that together with the jacket block define a heating assembly to heat the gas. The heating assembly is positionally stabilised within the electric heater via at least one brace configured to inhibit undesirable independent axial and/or lateral movement of the heating assembly within the electric heater.

摘要: The invention relates to a heater assembly for generating an inhalable aerosol. The heater assembly comprises an electrically insulating element and an electrical resistive heater. The heater comprises a central heating portion, which is configured to be heated. The heater further comprises electrical contacts, which contact the central heating portion and which are configured to supply electrical energy to the central heating portion. The heater further comprises anchoring legs, which are configured bendable. The anchoring legs are arranged adjacent to the central heating portion and configured to mechanically anchor the electrical resistive heater to the electrically insulating element. The anchoring legs are configured forming a chamfer for guiding insertion of an aerosol-generating article.

摘要: An aerosol-generating device and system are disclosed. The aerosol-generating device includes a heater for heating an aerosol-generating material, a power supply for supplying electric power to the heater, and a controller for controlling the amount of electric power supplied to the heater. In a first section, the controller controls the amount of electric power supplied to the heater such that the aerosol-generating material is heated to a first temperature during a first time period. In a second section, after the first section, the controller controls the amount of electric power supplied to the heater such that the aerosol-generating material is heated to a second temperature, which is higher than the first temperature. In a third section, after the second section, the controller controls the amount of electric power supplied to the heater such that the aerosol-generating material is maintained at a third temperature, which is lower than the second temperature.

摘要: The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for direct electrical heating of a fluid conduit, also referred to in one form as a tube. A fluid heating system includes a tube defining a fluid passage. The tube includes a material having a conductivity greater than 1.0 Siemens per meter (S/m) at 20° Celsius. The material is distributed along the tube and the fluid passage defines an inlet configured to receive fluid and an outlet configured to release the fluid. The system includes a first power supply, which includes a first circuit. The first circuit is configured to conduct first electric current across a first portion of the tube and the first circuit includes a first galvanic isolator between a source of the first power supply and the first portion of the tube. The first power supply is configured to heat the tube based on the first electric current.

摘要: Presented is an electrically charged heating element configured as a twin reversed spiral or other flat shape for high power density during cross current fluid flow. In one embodiment the element material is wound clockwise in a spiral inwardly to a point and then wound counterclockwise in a spiral outwardly from that point on the same plane as the clockwise winding, and between the clockwise windings, to a point past the beginning of the outer clockwise winding. Hot fluid generators employing such elements singly or in multiple stacked configurations are presented as well.

摘要: A method of forming a heater assembly of an e-vaping device includes bending a wire to form a first lobe and bending the wire to form a second lobe. The first lobe and the second lobe form a generally sinuously-shaped heater having a first set of lobes and a second set of lobe. A first apex of the first lobe is generally opposite a second apex of the second lobe. The method may also include curling the first set of lobes towards the second set of lobes to form a heater having a substantially tubular form. The heater defines an opening there through.
