    摘要： A data processing apparatus includes a data processing part, a power supply connector, and an original power supply device connected to the power supply connector and selected from among a commercial power source adapter outputting a direct-current voltage generated from a commercial power source, a battery unit, and a connection device coupled to an automobile power source. The apparatus includes a DC/DC converter which generates DC power supply voltages from an original power supply voltage supplied from the original power supply device via the power supply connector, and a power supply switching unit which supplies the original power supply voltage and the direct-current power supply voltages to the data processing part when one of the commercial power source adapter or the battery unit is connected to the power supply connector and which supplies only the direct-current power supply voltages generated by the DC/DC converter to the data processing part when the connection device coupled to the automobile power source is connected to the power supply connector.

    摘要： A facsimile machine which is coupled to a telephone line and a telephone set, where the facsimile machine connects the telephone set to the telephone line in a telephone mode and disconnects the telephone set from the telephone line in a facsimile mode so as to use the telephone line as a communication line for a facsimile communication, and the facsimile machine is connectable to a communication equipment via an interface unit which is designed exclusively for the communication equipment. The facsimile machine includes a single connector including signal lines for receiving and transmitting signals for coupling the facsimile machine to the interface unit, a single switch coupled to the connector for arbitrarily selecting the communication line to the telephone line in a first mode and to the communication equipment in a second mode, and a communication part for making a facsimile communication using the communication line which is selected by the switch.

The processing means relates attached information such as the conditions of recording of data obtained with the operation of inputting in the changed input mode, and file attributes with the data to update and record the format list.

    摘要： An acoustic coupler for a data communication device with a housing having a receiver and a coupling member mechanically coupling the receive housing and the transmitter housing. The acoustic coupler also includes a first microphone as part of the receiver for receiving an acoustic signal from a transmitter portion of a handset of a telephone, when the acoustic coupler is set to the handset. A first speaker is fastened to the second end of the receive part and outputting an acoustic signal to an operator, with yet a second speaker being fastened receiver portion of the housing for outputting an acoustic signal to a receiver portion of the handset. A second microphone is fastened to another part of the receiver which is for inputting an acoustic signal from the operator, and a coupling circuit for electrically coupling the first microphone, the second microphone, the first speaker and the second speaker to a data transmission apparatus. This arrangement allows for a more reliable connection of a data transmission device to the communication medium, be it radio or wired.

    摘要： A radio communication system includes a radio unit, an interface circuit, a microphone and a fascimile unit. The interface unit includes a transformer through which signals are transferred between the radio unit and a seelcted one of the microphone and the facsimile unit so that d.c. components of the signals cannot be transferred. The interface circuit also includes a first relay connected between one winding of the transformer and the microphone and the facsimile unit and a second relay connected between the other winding of the transformer and the radio unit. The system also includes a mode select switch which is operatively coupled to the first and second relays. Thus, mode select signals are also d.c. decoupled signals.
