摘要: To a canister assembly to be installed in a vehicle body having a differential device mounted on a rear part thereof without reducing the space above a floor panel while ensuring an adequate adsorption chamber volume. The canister assembly (22) comprises a first adsorption chamber (31) for adsorbing fuel vapor introduced from a fuel tank (8); a second adsorption chamber (32) for adsorbing fuel vapor introduced from the first adsorption chamber; and a chamber communication pipe (46) for communicating the first adsorption chamber with the second adsorption chamber; wherein the first adsorption chamber and second adsorption chamber are provided separately from each other on either side of the differential device.

摘要: A fuel filler apparatus of a vehicle of the invention, during normal operation, only permits insertion of fuel dispensing nozzles of a diameter within a predefined range, and prevents insertion of fuel dispensing nozzles whose diameter is smaller a lowest value or larger than a highest value of this range. The fuel filler apparatus includes a manual operation override mechanism which by a manual operation permits the insertion of only fuel dispensing nozzles of a diameter smaller than the lowest value of the range under special circumstances.

摘要: A fuel tank includes a first fuel chamber for receiving liquid fuel; a communication chamber communicated with the first fuel chamber and having a bottom higher than a bottom of the first fuel chamber; and a second fuel chamber communicated with the communication chamber, the second fuel chamber having a bottom lower than the bottom of the communication chamber. The fuel tank also includes a sleeve member having a lower end opening toward the bottom of the communication chamber, and configured so that fuel evaporative emissions are discharged while liquid fuel is supplied to the first fuel chamber. The first fuel chamber, the communication chamber, and the second fuel chamber are all molded integrally by resin blow molding. The communication chamber is provided with a protrusion which is convex when viewed from inside the communication chamber, and a depression which is concave when viewed from outside of the communication chamber.

摘要: A vehicle fuel supply device including a saddle-shaped fuel tank comprised of a main chamber and an auxiliary chamber. A reservoir is disposed within the main chamber. A main pump is provided within the reservoir. A sub-pump is detachably provided within the reservoir. The fuel in the reservoir is drawn up by an operation of the main pump to supply fuel to an engine. A portion of the drawn-up fuel is utilized to generate a negative pressure, the negative pressure is utilized to transfer the fuel in the auxiliary chamber to the reservoir, and the negative pressure is utilized to introduce the fuel in the main chamber into the reservoir.

摘要: A vehicle fuel supply device including a saddle-shaped fuel tank comprised of a main chamber and an auxiliary chamber. A reservoir is disposed within the main chamber. A main pump is provided within the reservoir. A sub-pump is detachably provided within the reservoir. The fuel in the reservoir is drawn up by an operation of the main pump to supply fuel to an engine. A portion of the drawn-up fuel is utilized to generate a negative pressure, the negative pressure is utilized to transfer the fuel in the auxiliary chamber to the reservoir, and the negative pressure is utilized to introduce the fuel in the main chamber into the reservoir.

摘要: A canister system is installed in a vehicle having a body having a substantially closed space defined therein, and a subframe mounted on the body and having a substantially closed space defined therein. An air intake passage is connected to a canister for drawing and delivering fresh air into the canister, and an air exhaust passage is connected to the canister for exhausting air resulting from removal of evaporative fuel components from an evaporative fuel-air mixture by adsorption of the evaporative fuel components by the canister into the atmosphere. An open end of the air intake passage remote from the canister is formed in the body of the vehicle, and an open end of the air exhaust passage remote from the canister is formed in the subframe.

摘要: A canister includes a partition wall which extends toward the lid member with one end thereof connected to the end wall and opposite sides are connected to an inner surface of the casing body. First and second adsorbent layers, formed by an adsorbent, are retained between first and second filters and a third filter, respectively. The first and second filters are fixedly disposed on opposite sides of the partition wall to define first and second chambers between the first and second filters and the end wall, respectively. The third filter is placed and carried on an inner surface of a support plate which is fitted in the casing body and which has a large number of communication bores. The support plate and a lid member are biased by a spring in a direction to compress the first and second adsorbent layers. An inclination inhibiting portion is provided on at least one of the casing body and the partition wall on the opposite side from the third chamber with respect to the third filter and the support plate at a distance from the third filter which substantially corresponds to a distance between the third filter and the partition wall. Thus, it is possible to prevent a reduction in adsorbing efficiency by preventing the third filter and support plate from inclining.
