摘要: The invention provides suspended or “dropped” ceiling systems based upon the use of standard inverted T-bar lattices. The ceiling panels are constructed from two pieces which, when assembled in place, capture the T-bar in a manner that prevents the panels from shaking loose. A suspended ceiling assembled with the panels of this invention will withstand the forces of an earthquake without experiencing panel drop-outs, and the ceiling will remain intact so long as the T-bars remain suspended from the structural ceiling above. The panels of the invention can, in preferred embodiments, carry lighting fixtures, and the required wiring can be installed and concealed below the T-bars rather than within the plenum space.

摘要: An illuminator 10 according to the present invention includes a plurality of light sources 14 for emitting light, a light guide plate 12 for propagating the emitted light, and an anisotropic diffusion plate 11 disposed in at least a portion of the light guide plate 12 closer to the light sources 14, the anisotropic diffusion plate 11 diffusing light propagating through the light guide plate 12. Regarding in-plane directions of the light guide plate 12, the anisotropic diffusion plate 11 diffuses light more along a direction which is parallel to an arraying direction of the plurality of light sources 14 than along a direction perpendicular thereto. As a result, while suppressing spread of a half-luminance angle of light, appearance of an image can be improved, and also lowering of luminance caused by diffusion can be suppressed.

摘要: An illuminator 10 according to the present invention includes a light source 14 for emitting light, a light guide plate 12 for propagating the emitted light, and a prism sheet 18 having a plurality of prisms 26 for refracting the light propagated through the light guide plate 12. The prism sheet includes anisotropic particles 31 having diffusion anisotropy. Regarding in-plane directions of the prism sheet 18, an arraying direction 18a of the plurality of prisms 26 and a major axis direction 31a of the anisotropic particles are shifted by an angle which is greater than 0 degrees and smaller than 5 degrees. This makes it possible to efficiently suppress occurrence of moire while suppressing spread of a half-luminance angle of light.

摘要: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a vertically and horizontally positionable stereoscopic display device that can obtain an excellent stereoscopic display by reducing light leakage through areas (inter-line areas) between drive electrodes (36, 42) and auxiliary electrodes (38, 44) and improving light shielding properties of light shielding parts. A switching liquid crystal panel (14) provided in the stereoscopic display device of the present invention realizes a parallax barrier (48) in which transmission parts (52) and light shielding parts (50) are arrayed alternately. The switching liquid crystal panel (14) includes a pair of substrates (30, 32) on which drive electrodes (36, 42) and auxiliary electrodes (38, 44) are arranged alternately. When the switching liquid crystal panel (14) is viewed from the front, the drive electrodes (36) and the auxiliary electrodes (38) formed on the substrate (30) are orthogonal to the drive electrodes (42) and the auxiliary electrodes (44) formed on the substrate (32). A liquid crystal layer (34) has a retardation that is set at a first minimum, and a dielectric anisotropy of 4 or greater.
