    摘要: A display screen having a color filter including a black matrix formed on a substrate of the display screen. A number of color filter layers, each formed in holes of the matrix, provide filtering of light components corresponding to the color of the filter layer. Also provided is one other color filter layer of a final color. This other color filter is also formed on the matrix and formed in another one of the other holes. Consequently, the other color filter layer can be formed without the need of exposing an associated resist layer, thereby simplifying the color filter manufacturing process.

    摘要: A color cathode ray tube includes a faceplate and a phosphor screen provided on the inner surface of the faceplate and including red, green, and blue phosphor layers. A color filter layer is interposed between the inner surface of the faceplate and the phosphor screen. The color filter layer includes color filters opposed individually to the phosphor layers of the phosphor screen and having colors corresponding thereto. Color filters of each color have a higher transmittance for light beams with wavelengths which are in a range of .+-.20 nm of the maximum emission spectrum wavelength of the phosphor layers of the corresponding color than for light beams with wavelengths which are outside the range and which are between 400 nm and 650 nm. A common outside filter for complementing the light absorption properties of the color filters is provided on the outer surface of the faceplate and has a maximum absorption in a predetermined wavelength which is outside the maximum emission spectrum wavelengths of the red, green, and blue phosphor layers.

    摘要: In a cathode ray tube with a phosphor screen containing a Zn type green emitting phosphor, e.g. ZnS, ZnCdS and Zn.sub.2 SiO.sub.4, the surface of the phosphor particle includes a surface area of (Co,Zn)O. The surface area is green colored to operate as a filter against incident light from outside the tube and reduces background brightness of picture images caused by excitation of scattering electrons. Thus, the contrast of the picture images rises. The contrast is further increased by Ni doped.

    摘要: A method for forming a pattern of a non-light-emitting black material on the inner surface of a faceplate of a color cathode ray tube is provided, which comprises the steps of forming a photoresist layer of a photoresist containing a water-soluble bisazidocompound, a water-soluble diazocompound, and a water-soluble polymeric material, on an inner surface of a faceplate of a color cathode ray tube, selectively exposing parts of the photoresist layer using a shadow mask so as to photocure the exposed parts, developing the photoresist layer to remove unexposed parts of the photoresist layer, thereby forming dots of the photoresist, forming a film of a non-light-emitting black material on the inner surface of the faceplate including the dots, and removing the dots and the non-light-emitting black material on the dots so as to form holes in the film of the non-light-emitting black material.
