摘要： An electronic apparatus includes a body, a triaxial acceleration sensor which is built in the body and includes a long axis and a short axis, a disk device built in the body, a calculation unit that calculates a value on a basis of an acceleration value which is detected by the triaxial acceleration sensor and is output in a direction perpendicular to the long axis and to the short axis, a setting unit that sets a threshold in a state of the body in which a plane formed by the long axis and the short axis is approximately parallel to a direction of action of gravitational acceleration, and a controller that starts protection of the disk device on a basis of a result of comparison between the value calculated by the calculation unit and the threshold.

摘要： According to one embodiment, an information processing apparatus includes an amplifier provided in a body and amplifying a sound signal to output sound from a speaker, a first system including a storage storing a first sound data and a sound device which generates an analog sound signal from the first sound data and supplies the generated sound signal to the amplifier, and further, outputting sound using the first sound data when the body is in a power-on state, and the second system configured to operate independently from the first system, and including a semiconductor memory storing a non-compression format second sound data and a digital-to-analog converter, which converts the second sound data into an analog sound signal and supplies the converted analog sound signal into the amplifier, and further, outputting sound using the second sound data when the body is in a power-off state.

摘要： According to one embodiment, an information processing apparatus, includes a communication unit making communication with a mail server and obtaining a mail, a searching unit discriminating whether or not a new mail has arrived at the mail server, a main controller controlling the communication unit and the searching unit, and obtaining a new mail, a main power supplier supplying power to the main controller, and a sub-controller. The sub-controller discriminates whether or not a new mail has arrived on the predetermined timing by the searching unit during suspension of the main controller, obtains the new mail via the communication unit if the new mail has arrived, and urges the main power supplier to supply the power and sets the main power supplier in an operable state if any item of information included in the new mail meets a predetermined condition.
