摘要： In one example, a connector assembly for providing security to an article of merchandise is provided. The connector assembly includes a cord having a plurality of conductors and a body portion connected to the cord. The connector assembly also includes connection portion engaged with the body portion and including a plurality of engagement members. Each of the engagement members is electrically connected to a respective conductor in the cord, and the connection portion is configured to engage the article of merchandise to thereby electrically connect the engagement members to one another for establishing a sense loop through the conductors in the cord. Interruption of the sense loop is indicative of a security event.

摘要： An anti-theft device for monitoring connection between a male plug and a female receptacle. The male plug has a sheath enclosing a plurality of conductive pins. The sheath contains a tongue having a first retracted configuration when the male plug is outside the female receptacle and a second displaced configuration when the male plug is inserted in the female receptacle. In the second displaced configuration, the tongue engages at two conductive pins, thereby creating a closed electric circuit. An alarm module monitors the electric current flow within the electric circuit, and responsive to detecting an interruption in the electric current flow, the alarm module transmits an alarm signal.

According to an example embodiment, a manager security fob and another security fob that is to be authorized for use in controlling the security status of a product display assembly can interact with a system in accordance with a defined sequence to add the another security fob to an authorization list for the product display assembly. For example, the defined sequence can be a connection of the manager security fob with the system, followed by a disconnection of the manager security fob from the system, followed a connection of the another security fob with the system within a defined window.

摘要： A merchandise sensor for protecting an item of merchandise displayed on a merchandise display security device from theft includes sensor electronics and a sensor element operably coupled to the sensor electronics. The sensor element provides an output value in an initial stable state before an interaction state and in a subsequent stable state following the interaction state. The sensor electronics compares the output value of the sensor element in the subsequent stable state and the output value of the sensor element in the initial stable state to determine whether a change in the output value indicates an alarm condition. In the event that the output value of the sensor element in the subsequent stable state is not within a predetermined tolerance bandwidth of the output value of the sensor element in the initial stable state, the sensor electronics activates an alarm in response to the alarm condition.

摘要： A method for providing an alert to a person to unplug an electrical power cord of an electrical device or equipment includes an alarm device that is activated upon separation of a first portion from a second portion. The first and second portions of the alarm device are secured proximate opposite sides of a loop provided in the power cord. The first and second portions, when engaged, maintain a switch of an electrical circuit in an open position. If the equipment is moved prior to unplugging the power cord, the loop will be straightened, causing the first and second portions to separate. The switch closes, completing the electrical circuit and activating the alarm device. The alarm alerts the person to unplug the power cord. A first alternate method includes the alarm device as a part of newly manufactured equipment. A second alternate method includes a motion detector or sensor in the alarm device of the newly manufactured equipment. A third alternate method includes an add-on alarm device with the motion detector or sensor.
