Abstract:
This invention relates to a filtering apparatus for filtering liquids, in particular beverages. To attain an effective seal between two superimposed filter supports and the associated filter bodies in such a filtering apparatus, the upper side of an underlying filter support has formed therein a groove which opens upwards and has a substantially trapezoidal cross section and whose interior groove wall is substantially parallel to the inner wall of the apron of the filter support respectively lying thereabove, and the profiled seal has, on the whole, a substantially rectangular cross section, with the profiled seal portion supported on the respectively lower filter support being adapted to the cross section of the groove.
Abstract:
The present invention refers to filtering method and a filter device for filtering liquids, especially beverages. The filtering method and the filter device are to be reliable and simple without any negative influence on the quality of the filtrate. A filter is produced in a precoating station by precoating with a filter aid, the filters being then removed from the precoating station together with the filter carriers and introduced into a filtering station, where they are stacked up like a tower and pressed together.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to precoating head for forming a filter cake in a filter carrier, with the precoating head comprising an inlet nozzle for the filter aid and a deflection element arranged below the opening of the inlet nozzle for deflecting the flow of filter aid.To obtain a uniform filter cake structure, a distributor grid is arranged in spaced-apart relationship with the deflection element according to the invention.
Abstract:
A process and apparatus for drawing off deformable masses containing air, such as sausage masses. The mass is transferred in a stream from a supply space into a filling cylinder where a vacuum is generated relative to the space to remove air from the mass, and the transferred mass is then ejected from the filling cylinder by means of a piston. To transfer the mass quickly and remove air from it completely, the mass stream is guided, during its transfer into the filling cylinder in such a way that, as it enters the filling cylinder, it first moves towards the cylinder wall at an angle to the direction of the piston. Moreover, during filling the level of mass in the filling cylinder is maintained at an essentially constant filling height so that a constant volume of free space remains above the mass in the filling cylinder.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a filter carrier 1 for the construction of a filter tower 9. To simplify the construction on the whole, the invention provides for a seal which is arranged on the pressure-exerting plate of the filter carrier and comprises a sealing edge for sealing between the pressure-exerting plate and. the side wall of a filter carrier positioned thereunder, as well as a sealing collar for sealing and retaining the distributor element on the pressure-exerting plate.
Abstract:
A piston pump comprising at least one working space, which is surrounded by a cylinder and which is adapted to be varied by a piston arranged in said cylinder, and at least one inlet valve as well as at least one outlet valve, said valves being lifting valves and being adapted to be controlled and driven by a control and drive means. In order to provide a piston pump which can be cleaned more easily and which includes the smallest possible number of dead spots, a first teaching according to the present invention suggests that, when closed, the inlet valve should be located nearer to the working space than when it is open. Alternatively, the underlying technical problem is solved according to a second solution of the present invention by the feature that the valve surface of the inlet and/or outlet valve(s) facing the working space merges without any steps with the inner surface of said working space at the closed position of the valve or of each valve.
