摘要： In a projection type display apparatus that projects an image by inputting a light beam emitted from a light source to a spatial light modulation device, it is intended to provide a lens array as a component of an illumination optical system that is low in manufacturing cost, provides high screen illuminance, and enables miniaturization of the projection type display apparatus. The dimension of the cell lenses of a second lens array is not uniform in one of the row direction and the column direction. Since the cell lenses are rectangular when viewed from the front side, the second lens array can be manufactured with a metal mold having a simple shape. The boundary lines between the cell lenses are straight and level differences at the boundary lines are small, sink marks of the second lens array are small, and the efficiency of utilization of light beams is high. Further, since the dimension of the cell lenses is not uniform in the other of the row direction and the column direction, the corresponding dimension of the second lens array can be reduced.

摘要： A skid beam for use in a walking beam type heating furnace which has operating temperature exceeding 1000.degree. C. comprises a hollow skid pipe of heat resistant alloy, skid buttons provided upright on the skid pipe and arranged axially thereof at a predetermined spacing, and a refractory lining covering the outer peripheral surface of the skid pipe and each of the skid buttons over the base portion thereof toward its upper portion. Each of the skid buttons comprises a first member attached to the skid pipe and made of a heat-resistant alloy, and a second member to be brought into contact with the material to be heated. The second member is made of a composite material composed of a heat-resistant alloy and ceramic particles dispersed therein in an amount of 30 to 70% by weight based on the composite material. The skid button has a height exceeding 120 mm. The lining portion covering the skid button over the base portion thereof toward its upper portion has a thickness so as not to give a temperature difference of 40.degree. C. between the top of the skid button and the interior of the furnace.

摘要： The disclosed zoom lens apparatus operates in a manual focusing mode and an automatic focusing mode with a manual focusing movement imparted to one lens component and an automatic focusing movement imparted to another lens component. 摘要： In the disclosed diaphragm device, an electromagnetic unit is composed of two opposing sets of circularly arranged magnets poled so that opposing surfaces have the same polarity, a rotary member carrying an electromagnetic coil that moves the rotary member in response to current therethrough and the field of the magnets, and diaphragm blades which are positioned between the magnet members and the rotary member and pivoted to close the aperture in response to rotation of the rotary member in one direction. When the rotary member is rotating in the closing direction, stopping means respond to an input signal and stop movement of the diaphragm blades at a particular aperture value.
