Abstract:
The invention is achieved by using a method for displaying a thermal image in an infrared (IR) thermal camera, comprising the steps of registering an outdoor temperature value, registering an indoor temperature value, calculating an isotherm level by using the registered temperature values and a temperature color alarm level, imaging a surface area to create an image of the temperature distribution in at least a part of the surface area, comparing the surface area temperature in at least one image point of the thermal image to the isotherm level, adjusting the color of the at least one image point in dependence of the relation between the surface area temperature in said at least one image point and the isotherm level and displaying the colored thermal image. The invention allows you to determine immediately, on-site, if a building is well insulated or not. It presents an easily interpreted and understandable thermal image which instantly draws a users attention to an identified critical area.
Abstract:
An arrangement for recording an IR image of an object. The arrangement has a focal plane array (FPA) of IR detectors and an optic which images the object on the focal plane IR detector array. At least one temperature reference is arranged in the beam path of the focal IR detector array. At least one IR reference detector is assigned as a reference among the IR detector elements in this array. Each temperature reference is coordinated with at least one of the IR reference detector elements so that each of the IR reference detector elements is impinged upon by radiation deriving essentially solely from one of the temperature references. An IR detector reference output signal is intended to be produced for each temperature reference. Each IR reference output signal is intended to set an individual reference level for the output signals from the remaining IR detector elements in the IR detector array.
Abstract:
An infrared (IR) camera includes a camera unit for recording IR images, a slave monitor connected to the camera unit for displaying IR images recorded by the camera unit. In this way, the camera unit can be moved independently of the operator. The slave monitor is preferably connected to the camera unit via a cable, a short-range radio connection or a Wireless LAN (WLAN) link. The connection is used for communicating image data from the camera unit to the slave monitor as they are recorded. The connection may also be used for control data from the slave monitor to the camera unit.
Abstract:
An infrared camera includes a detector sensitive to infrared radiation and optics for focusing an object to be monitored on the detector. A light source emits a narrow beam within the visible wavelength region towards the object to be imaged by the detector.
