    摘要： A communication system enables even an operator other than experts to correctly perform operations for a communication device such as an operation for modifying the configuration of the communication device without fail through simple operations without taking a long time for the operations, and permits the operator to keep track of the status of the operation in a remote management server. The communication device acquires an operational scenario from a management server, assigns the execution of the operational scenario to an operation input unit, and executes the operational scenario in response to an instruction which is issued from the operator by depressing an associated button on the input unit. The communication device displays the result of the execution on a display unit, and notifies the management server of the result.

    摘要： According to the present invention, an information network wherein, packets can be forwarded between entities on a network along a plurality of lines, each line carrying separate copies of information. If a portion of one copy of the information is lost due to line failure, for example, other copies flowing along different lines can be used to reconstruct the lost information. In a representative embodiment, a plurality of LAN lines respectively connect between terminals and LAN-to-LAN forwarding devices or between two LAN-to-LAN forwarding devices. The terminals or the LAN-to-LAN forwarding devices are respectively provided with multiple line transmitting units for respectively transmitting the same packets to the plurality of LAN lines substantially contemporaneously. There are also provided multiple line receiving units for respectively selecting any of the same packets sent from the plurality of LAN lines and receiving it.

    摘要： A data communication system comprising a system processor, an application program assigned to an application buffer it controls, a communication protocol program assigned to a protocol buffer it controls, a communication controller for controlling communication lines, and transmitting and receiving buffers controlled by the communication controller. Data is copied at high speed among the application buffer, protocol buffer, and transmitting and receiving buffers in the same byte-based increments as those in which the system processor handles data.
