摘要: Provided is a braking force control apparatus for vehicles capable of performing appropriate vehicle braking even in a road-contactless state of a wheel. The braking force control apparatus is adapted to a four-wheel drive vehicle having a center differential for distributing and transmitting driving force to the front wheels and rear wheels and a braking system capable of exerting braking force on each of the front and rear wheels, based on voluntary switching between braking according to driver's brake-pedal actuation and forced braking independent of the brake-pedal actuation. It is determined whether the vehicle is in an engine brake state and it is then determined whether at least one of the wheels is in the road-contactless state. When an engine brake determining device determines that the vehicle is in the engine brake state and when a road-contactless state determining device determines that at least one of the wheels is in the road-contactless state, the braking force based on the forced braking is exerted on the wheels other than the at least one wheel while the braking force based on the driver's brake-pedal actuation is permitted to be exerted on the at least one wheel.

摘要: A brake force maintain control device for a vehicle determines whether the vehicle is in a rapidly-pressed state. The rapidly-pressed state is a state in which the brake pedal of the vehicle has been further pressed rapidly. While the vehicle is in the rapidly-pressed state, the brake force maintain control device allows the brake force maintain control to start if a condition for starting the brake force maintain control is satisfied. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the brake force maintain control from being needlessly executed even though the driver does not have an intention of executing it.

摘要: A traction control apparatus for a vehicle sets an allowable slip ratio to a constant value that is rather great, when the shift position of a sub-transmission is in “H4”, or the shift position of the sub-transmission is in “L4” and the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value among wheel speeds of each driving wheel is less than a wheel speed difference threshold value. On the other hand, when the shift position of the sub-transmission is in “L4” and the difference is not less than the wheel speed difference threshold value, the traction control apparatus for the vehicle of the present invention sets the allowable slip ratio to a constant value that is smaller than the above-mentioned constant value. In case where the slip ratio of each driving wheel exceeds the allowable slip ratio set as described above, predetermined braking force is exerted on each driving wheel so as to place the slip ratio of each driving wheel within the allowable slip ratio.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a braking control system for controlling a braking force applied to each of front and rear wheels of a four-wheel drive vehicle, which has a front differential gear connected to the front wheels, a rear differential gear connected to the rear wheels, and a center differential gear connected to the front and rear differential gears. A wheel speed sensor is provided for detecting wheel speeds of the wheels. A non-contact detector is provided for determining whether at least one wheel is not contacting the ground in the vehicle's path, on the basis of the wheel speeds detected by the wheel sensor. A downhill detector is provided for determining whether the vehicle's path is on a downhill road. An engine brake detector is provided for determining whether the vehicle is under an engine brake. And, a braking force controlling device is provided for controlling a braking force applied to each of the wheels independently, and adapted to apply the braking force to at least one of the wheels, when the downhill detector determines that the vehicle's path is on the downhill road, the engine brake detector determines that the vehicle is under the engine brake, and the non-contact detector determines that the at least one wheel is not contacting the ground.
