    摘要： A motor control device for controlling a permanent magnet motor includes a current detector detecting current flowing through three-phase windings, an induced voltage computing unit obtaining voltage induced at each phase from the detected three-phase winding current based on a phase voltage equation, a position detector detecting a rotational position of the rotor from the induced voltage of each phase computed by the induced current computing unit, the rotational position of the rotor having a 6n resolution where n is an integer equal to or larger than 1, an energization phase control unit determining a phase to be energized based on the rotational position of the rotor and a phase command, an energization signal forming unit forming a 6n-resolution three-phase energization signal, and an energizing unit carrying out PWM modulation for the three-phase energization signal, supplying voltage according to the modulated three-phase energization signal to each of the three-phase windings.

    摘要： A bearing supporting a rotational shaft of an electric motor includes an outer ring, an inner ring, and an annular retainer disposed between the outer and inner rings for holding a plurality of metal balls so that the balls are rollable. The retainer has a plurality of grease reserve portions formed in its upper end. Each grease reserve portion is enclosed partially by a peripheral wall. The gross amount of grease injected into the bearing is about 10% or less of a volume of an inner space of the bearing defined by the outer and inner rings and upper and lower sealing plates with the retainer and the balls in position.

    摘要： A control device for a permanent magnet motor serving as both a starter for an engine and a generator in a motor vehicle is disclosed. The control device includes a drive circuit converting a direct current to an alternating current to supply the alternating current to the permanent magnet motor, the drive circuit having at least one arm including two series connected first switching elements having flywheel diodes respectively, the drive circuit having an input terminal connected to a capacitor and an output terminal connected to the permanent magnet motor, a chopper circuit including a plurality of series connected second switching elements having diodes connected in parallel with the second switching elements respectively, the chopper circuit being disposed at the battery side and connected in parallel with the capacitor, a reactor connected between a neutral point of the chopper circuit and the battery, and a control for controlling the switching elements of the drive circuit and chopper circuit so that the switching elements are turned on and off.
