摘要: An on-chip supercapacitor has an electrode that includes one-dimensional silicon nano structures coated with a first layer of titanium nitride. The on-chip supercapacitor also includes a second layer of manganese dioxide deposited on the first layer. An associated method of providing an on-chip supercapacitor electrode on a silicon substrate includes providing a plurality of one-dimensional silicon nanostructures on a substrate, coating the one-dimensional silicon nanostructures with a first layer of titanium nitride, and coating a second layer of manganese dioxide onto the first layer.

摘要: Systems, methods and apparatus for extracting and analysing cellular material utilizing an integrated lab-on-a-chip (LOG) (1) and an instrument (2). The instrument (2) comprises an interface (4) for holding the LOG, one or more valve actuators or vacuum system (5), a detection unit (6) and one or more pumps (7). The LOG comprises a loading chamber (L), an extraction chamber (21), a reaction unit (22), and one or more valves (V1-V10). The extraction chamber (21) comprises one or more gas ports (37, 38) that are configured to be placed in fluid communication with the one or more pumps (7) to enable the generation of positive and negative pressures in the extraction chamber (21) to enable pumping of fluid into and out of the extraction chamber (21).

摘要: The invention relates to a switchable multiturn coil antenna for transmitting or receiving wireless power in a wireless power transfer system and a corresponding wireless power transfer system. The coil structure includes a planar multiturn primary conductor coil (5) and at least two secondary conductor coils (1, 2, 3, 4) positioned in the plane defined by the primary coil between the turns of the multiturn primary coil, each of the secondary coils having different sizes and lengths providing different inductance and are shorter than the primary coil, wherein each secondary coils is connected to a respective switch (9,10,11, 12) controlled by a tuning controller (23) for individually connecting and disconnecting the coil to a load or to a power supply. An impedance (8) is be connected between the ends of the primary coil and each of the secondary coils extends one turn around a common coil center.
