These include data deciphering components, interrupt processing components, adaptive aggregations methods, optimized data path processing, buffer pool processing, application processing where data is formatted in a suitable format for a destination process, and Keystream bank processing among other hardware acceleration features. Such systems and methods are provided to simplify logic designs and mitigate processing steps during wireless network data processing.

摘要: Techniques for reducing the time required for frequency scan in acquisition are disclosed. In one aspect, received power measurements are made at one or more of the possible carrier frequencies and system search is performed on one or more of those frequencies when the power measurement exceeds a threshold. In another aspect, the power is measured at one or more frequencies in a band of frequencies surrounding a frequency at which the measured power exceeded a threshold. If the measured power at one or more of the frequencies in the band exceeds a second threshold, a system search is performed at one or more of those frequencies. In yet another aspect, frequencies meeting certain criteria are sorted in order of measured power prior to system search or further power measurement, and subsequent processing is performed in order of descending measured power. Various other aspects are also presented. These aspects have the benefit of reducing acquisition time, which results in faster system access and allows for more efficient use of system resources.

摘要: In a wireless communication system, user equipment (UE) is provided, one or more set of rules are provided for the UE to handle the processing during a measurement gap. In some aspects, the gap measurement may be ignored. In some aspects, the processing is stored and handled at a later in time and gap measurements are performed. Depending on the system, the measurements performed during the gaps may be UE implementation dependent, wherein the UE determines whether to perform the measurement for a given gap. In some instances, the UE may not perform measurements during the gap, thereby giving priority to other processing, such as RACH processing. Depending on the type of processing required (DL-SCH, UL-SCH, TTI bundling, RACH or SR), the UE may store requests and process the measurements during the gap or ignore the gap measurement as if there were no gaps.

摘要: Methods and apparatus are presented to reduce the amount of processing required by a remote station to successfully decode the Common Control Channel (CCCH). During periods when a remote station does not implement any update requests, CCCH messages are discarded. During periods when a remote station implements update requests, CCCH messages are fully processed. The selective processing of CCCH messages produces a corresponding savings in power consumption.
