摘要:
An apparatus for inserting two weft threads into two warp sheds in a loom with central jet insertion. Intermediate inlet ducts and pairs of opposite outlet ducts and pairs of opposite outlet ducts and pairs of nozzles, respectively, communicate with said respective inlet ducts. Air points are provided to change the directions of advance of weft threads and input air streams, said air points having tipping nozzles which can be alternately opened and whose discharge directions of tipping air jets are mutually crosswise directed into said pairs of opposite outlet ducts.

Method of and apparatus for controlling a weft thread in a shuttleless loom, particularly a shuttleless weft-change loom. The apparatus has a rotary measuring device provided with a winding arm. In accordance with the invention, the weft thread is variably braked between a measuring point and a weft thread supply. In the apparatus of the invention the winding arm is provided with an open thread guide, and adjacent the measuring drum there is provided at least a pair of controlled presenter levers, the presenter levers preceded by positively controlled thread brakes.

Method of and apparatus for weft thread insertion in a jet loom. Fluid weft thread insertion medium under pressure is fed to the weft thread along the axis of a spiral weft thread reserve, said axis coinciding with the weft thread insertion channel of the loom. The weft thread reserve is constantly rotated at a fixed speed with respect to the main shaft of the loom. The weft thread is discharged from the weft thread reserve in the form of a rotating balloon of an up twister, the weft thread being discharge through a tube disposed along the said axis which loosely confines the weft thread traveling from the apex of the balloon toward the shed of the loom. A nozzle for discharging fluid weft thread inserting medium is disposed within the balloon close to but spaced from the apex end thereof so as to discharge said fluid into the inner end of the weft thread guide where it impinges upon the rotating weft thread in loose spiral formation traveling through said guiding tube.

Nozzle for the insertion of weft thread in pnenumatic jet looms. The nozzle has a body in which there are disposed air channels and at least one weft thread guide. The air channels are disposed in the nozzle body so as to be adjustable with respect to the weft thread guide, whereby to produce a change in the rotation of the stream of air flowing through the nozzle.

An arrangement for the selective insertion of two weft yarns into two sheds of a jet loom with weft change. Each weft yarn is assigned a fixed jet provided with outlets into both sheds, and connected to two pressure air supplies, opened alternatingly according to a predetermined program. A plurality of such arrangements can be employed in combination with the said two sheds, the arrangements can be programmed to interact in a number of predetermined manners to produce a variety of fabric patterns.

A method of controlling weft threads for shuttleless insertion into the shed of a loom, and a rotary measuring tool for performing said method. The present invention aims at improving the weaving conditions relative to the methods hitherto known in accordance with the invention the front end of the weft thread is alternately given a rotary motion in both the same and the opposite directions relative to the direction of winding of the weft thread in dependence upon the weaving process, whereby the front end of the weft thread is periodically wound and released. The rotating measuring tool for performing the method according to the present invention has a rotatably mounted delivery guide attached to a reel, the said delivery guide being kinematically connected with a control cam driven in synchronism with the loom.

An improved air jet loom having a guide comb and a reed wherein an auxiliary air stream is directed through the guide comb substantially along the longitudinal axis thereof. The device and method include nozzle means directing a jet of air through the reed and transversely into the comb and air jet stream deflecting means directing the transverse air stream substantially along the longitudinal axis of the comb to supplement thereby the main air stream through the guide comb.

Facilities for temporarily holding a rear portion of a fluid-actuated piston rod coupled to a gripper shuttle in a weaving loom are described. Pressurized fluid is cyclically introduced into a chamber that communicates at its rear end with an elastomeric reservoir and at its front end with the rear portion of a cylinder in which the piston rod moves, with a rear collar on the piston rod projecting into the chamber when the piston is in its rearmost launch position. A pivotally mounted fork is mounted in the chamber for normally engaging and immobilizing the collar on the piston rod. Prior to the initiation of launch, the fork is moved via a lever and pitman assembly from such locking position to a forward release position in which the piston rod may be propelled forwardly by pressurized fluid accumulated in the elastomeric reservoir. When the rear end of the piston rod again engages the fork at the conclusion of the succeeding return stroke, the fork is moved rearwardly into its rear locking position to hold the piston rod collar against inadvertent release until the start of the next launch stroke of the gripper shuttle.

Facilities for controllingly reciprocating a hydraulically-actuated piston coupled to a gripper shuttle are described. A first hydraulic fluid reservoir and the cylinder housing the shuttle-engaging piston are disposed in a unitary, substantially closed housing pivotally supported on a rotatable shaft of the loom. Piston-actuating fluid is cyclically introduced rearwardly of the piston into an elastomeric reservoir disposed behind and coupled to a perforated rear wall of the cylinder. Fluid from the first reservoir in the housing is periodically transferred into the second reservoir to launch the shuttle. To effect the return stroke of the piston, fluid from the first reservoir is transferred to the front end of the cylinder in timed relation to the fluid transfer to the second reservoir. Facilities are provided for controllably removing fluid from the second reservoir prior to the return stroke of the piston, and for abruptly removing hydraulic fluid from the front end of the cylinder prior to the launching stroke of the piston.
