    摘要: The guide apparatus for a long object comprises: a movable portion that is capable of reciprocal movement in a reciprocal direction; a fixed portion; a pair of sheets that have flexibility; and a guide member. The fixed portion is fixed so that the movement in the reciprocal direction is not possible. The pair of sheets, with a curved part formed at an intermediate position in the longitudinal direction, couple the movable portion and the fixed portion. The guide member reciprocates in the reciprocal direction while guiding the movable portion and the pair of sheets so that the pair of sheets reciprocate in the reciprocal direction as the curved part is shifted in accordance with the reciprocal movement of the movable portion. The guide member forms, together with the pair of sheets, a storage chamber for storing a long object.

    摘要: A system and method for producing a spool having a continuous fabric strip is disclosed which produces an extended length fabric strip made from a plurality of seamed standard lengths of the fabric, the extended length fabric strip being substantially spirally wound upon a hollow core with consecutive windings of the extended length fabric strip being located close adjacent each other, and with consecutive rows of the extended length fabric strip overlaying each other on the hollow core. In a first embodiment, the standard length fabric strips are joined together at their respective contiguous ends using a small strip of heat-activated seaming tape. In a second embodiment, the standard length fabric strips are stitched together at their respective contiguous ends using thread. The winding operation simultaneously controls both the lateral position at which the extended length fabric strip is wound onto the core and the rotation of the core to achieve the tight and highly compact winding operation, with the speed of the winding operation being controlled according to the amount of the extended length fabric strip which is available at any given time. The extended length fabric strip is suitable for use in the manufacture of paint roller covers.

    摘要: A wire feeding device for very fine wire includes a straightening unit, a transporting unit, a wire buffer, and a wire guide arranged on a table on which a swivel unit with a wire drive is also arranged. The swivel unit serves wire-processing stations of a wire-processing machine. A supply of very fine wire is held in a drum and passes through the straightening unit which straightens the wire, bends and kinks being thereby removed. The transporting unit pulls the wire out of the drum and through the straightening unit and feeds the wire buffer. The wire buffer has a measuring device for monitoring a hanging wire loop. Depending on the requirement for wire in the wire-processing machine, the content of the buffer can decrease and the wire apex of the loop then moves upwards. The movement of the wire apex is detected by the measuring device and controlled with a control device via the transporting unit.
