Abstract:
The invention relates to a tool holder for use in machine tools, comprising a main body, which can rotate about an axis of rotation, and cutter holders which each hold a cutting plate and can be radially adjusted by means of an axially displaceable control rod and coupling means. In order to further develop said tool holder so that it is possible, within a very short time, to produce a turned groove which satisfies stringent demands regarding surface quality and geometric roundness, it is proposed, according to the invention, that the tool holder has at least two cutter holders which can be radially adjusted between a retracted position and an extended position and whose cutters can be simultaneously brought into engagement with the workpiece in order to produce a turned groove.
Abstract:
In order to further develop a device for the machining of the ends of tubes for producing a welding joint comprising a housing which can be secured on the end of the tube to be machined and on which a rotatingly drivable shaft is mounted, and comprising a rotary unit non-rotatably arranged on the shaft with a radially adjustable tool slide, on which a cutting plate is held, in such a manner that the welding joint can be produced in a shorter machining time and with a high-standard surface quality it is provided in accordance with the invention for the tool slide to be adjustable continuously in a radial direction, wherein the radial adjustment of the tool slide is coupled to the rotary movement of the shaft via gear means, and for the cutting plate to be held on the tool slide so as to be adjustable axially, parallel to the longitudinal axis of the shaft.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a cutting tool apparatus comprising a tool head rotatingly drivable about an axis of rotation, which tool head has a tool slide adjustable along an adjustment axis and an electrical measuring device for detecting an adjustment path of the tool slide, and comprising an external display device which is mechanically and electrically releasably connectable to the tool head and has a display unit for displaying the adjustment path of the tool slide. In order to further develop the cutting tool apparatus such that its handling is simplified, it is proposed according to the invention that the display device is mechanically securable on the stationary tool head in order to set the tool slide and is automatically releasable from the tool head if a predeterminable rotational acceleration of the tool head is exceeded.
Abstract:
A damping apparatus is provided for damping vibrations of a tool-holding apparatus during machining of a workpiece. The damping apparatus comprises a damping body having two ends on which a respective damping device is arranged, which comprises a bearing pin rigidly connected to the damping body and a bearing bush that surrounds the bearing pin in the circumferential direction. An annular space filled with a damping fluid is arranged between the bearing pin and the bearing bush, which annular space is sealed in the axial direction by two elastically deformable sealing rings. The two sealing rings each comprise first and second abutment regions as well as a resilient intermediate region arranged therebetween. The first abutment region is bonded to the bearing pin and the second abutment region is bonded to the bearing bush. The intermediate region is elastically deformable relative to the bearing pin and the bearing bush.
