    摘要: A holder for sharpening twist drills wherein the drill rests between sets of rollers mounted on a pair of parallel shafts. The shafts form part of a frame which pivots a limited amount about an axis perpendicular to the axis of the drill. A clamp is secured to the drill, and is provided with diametrically disposed shafts either one of which is insertable between a pair of fixed rods underlying the rollers which cause the drill to turn on its axis as the frame is moved arcuately. An adjustable stop controls the axial position of the drill. A modification involves the use of a slotted V-guide.

    摘要: An optimized pseudo-random period pattern can reduce audible noise in a system that includes an inverter circuit configured to provide power to an electric machine. A system can include a PWM optimization module (POM) comprising the PPP. A carrier period for a carrier signal used to provide PWM inverter drive signals can be selected in accordance with the PPP. The PPP can be expressed as an array of 200-400 elements, each element a period belonging to a finite set of 2 or more predetermined periods. A period can be selected by index from the array, and the index incremented to progress through the PPP, which can be repeated upon its completion. The PPP can be optimized to reduce audible noise while mitigating inverter losses. Modeling techniques can determine the number of array elements, the number of possible periods, and the period values that optimize the PPP.

    摘要: A fluid sampling nozzle is spatially fixed, and adapted to be supplied by fluid to be sampled. A nearby actuating switch, manipulated by the operator, energizes a sequence of sampling, cleaning, and drying steps. In particular, once fluid is withdrawn, the sample is removed. A waste removal sink pivots to a point beneath the nozzle, and in a series of motions by a probe washer assembly, the nozzle is successively washed, inside and out. The apparatus is then returned to its initial position, ready for successive sampling operations.
