摘要： A backpack and hood combination device for shielding a user's head includes a backpack and a hood. The backpack comprises a pair of shoulder straps that is configured to position over shoulders of a user to couple the backpack to the user. An upper limit of the backpack is positioned proximate to a base of a neck of the user and a rear of the backpack substantially abuts a back of the user. The hood is coupled to and positioned in a pouch that is coupled to the upper limit proximate to the rear of the backpack. The hood is selectively extensible from the pouch through a pouch opening that is positioned in the pouch. The hood is configured to cover a head of the user to protect the head of the user from windchill and moisture.

摘要： An apparatus for aligning a media sheet includes a sheet feed system for transporting the media sheet along a media feed path in a media feed direction and an alignment assembly is positioned to intersect the media feed path. The alignment assembly includes a deflectable member having a plurality of sets of arms, each of the arms of each set has a contact surface defining a plane unique to each set of arms. The media sheet aligns as it exerts a media engagement force on the alignment assembly and causes the alignment assembly to deflect when the media engagement force exceeds the aligning force.

摘要： A media picking device for an image forming apparatus having a sensing mechanism for detecting the leading and trailing edge of a sheet of media being picked from a media input tray. The device includes a pick mechanism for picking the top-most media sheet; and a sensing mechanism including a sensor and a flag positioned adjacent the pick tire and moveable between at least two positions, the flag having a first end contacting the surface of a picked sheet; the flag moving from a first position to a second position when the leading edge of the picked sheet passes by and moving from the second position to the first position when the trailing edge of the picked sheet passes by. The sensing mechanism providing an output signal corresponding to the movement of the flag. The sensor is one of a photointerrupter, a proximity sensor, a potentiometer, and a switch.

摘要： A media picking device for an image forming apparatus having a sensing mechanism for detecting the leading and trailing edge of a sheet of media being picked while in a media input tray. The device comprises an arm rotatably positioned to engage a stack of media sheets in a media input tray, a pick shaft rotatably connected to one end of the arm; a pick tire disposed on the pick shaft for contacting and picking the top-most media sheet; and a sensing mechanism comprising a sensor and a flag positioned adjacent the pick tire and moveable between at least two positions, the flag having a first end for contacting the surface of a media sheet being picked; the flag moving from a first position to a second position when the leading edge of the media sheet being picked passes by and moving from the second position to the first position when the trailing edge of the media sheet being picked passes by, wherein the sensor senses the movement of the flag when the flag moves between the first and second positions with the sensing mechanism providing an output signal corresponding to the movement of the flag. The sensor is one of a photointerrupter, a proximity sensor, a potentiometer, and a switch.

Unlike prior multiplexers where each directional filter defines a respective channel of the multiplex, the channels of the multiplexer of the invention, apart from one at the end, are defined by the band pass response of one directional filter and the band stop response of another directional filter, since the band pass responses of the directional filters from the input connected to the switch to the output connected to the transmission line, and the corresponding band stop responses between the two output ports connected to the transmission line, overlap each other. The same arrangement may be used for demultiplexing.
