Abstract:
An AV function section is provided with a standby mode serving to reduce power consumption during standby. An embedded controller provides such control as shifts or recovers the AV function section to or from the standby mode. Further, a network processor accepts, via a network such as a wireless LAN, a command causing the AV function section to shift to or recover from the standby mode. On the basis of this command, the network processor instructs, via a control signal line, the embedded controller to shift or recover the AV function section to or from the standby mode.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, the contents of a DVD video disc can be reproduced by use of reproduction control information realized by a Markup language. It is possible to hold a resource whose life period has elapsed in a cache memory and use the resource again. Therefore, a data access manager, a file cache which temporarily stores a plurality of resources and a navigation manager (including a filecache manager) which processes management information used to manage a plurality of files held in the file cache and controls the data access manager are provided. The filecache manager registers a loaded resource into a first list if the resource lies within the life period and registers the resource into a second list and manages the same if the life period of the resource has expired.
Abstract:
A revocation list is registered a public ROM area. The revocation list designates at least one electronic device in which use of the storage medium by the designated electronic device is to be revoked. A controller receives from the electronic device which attempts to access, identification information indicative of the electronic device, and checks whether identification information corresponding to the received identification information is contained in the revocation list, thereby determining whether or not use of the storage medium by the electronic device which attempts to access should be revoked.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus includes a first bus to transfer various data. A first processor is provided to manage, as a file, data recorded in the storage device. A receiver is provided to receive externally supplied streaming data. A second bus is provided to transfer the streaming data received by the receiver. A third bus is electrically connected to the storage device. A second processor is electrically connected to the first bus, the second bus, and the third bus. Streaming data from the receiver via the second bus is stored in the storage device via the third bus. File management information from the first processor via the first bus is also stored in the storage device, in response to an access request from the first processor via the first bus.
Abstract:
A content processing system for use in an electronic apparatus includes a unit for acquiring first revocation list information corresponding to a first media type, and a unit for recording the first revocation list information on a recording medium of a second media type. The recorded first revocation list information is used in authentication between the electronic apparatus and the recording medium of the second media type.
Abstract:
Two transfer modes of a band-guaranteed cycle and an event-driven type asynchronous cycle are defined for a multimedia bus. In the band-guaranteed cycle, stream data is transferred between nodes, to which the same channel number is assigned, in peer-to-peer mode using a reserved band for each cycle time. If the same channel number is assigned to a plurality of receiver nodes, a multi-cast transfer can be achieved by the band-guaranteed cycle. The multi-cast transfer using the band-guaranteed cycle can be stopped even in response to an instruction from any receiver node, and a buffer of each receiver node can be prevented from overflowing.
