The method for migrating comprises: creating an extended user profile associated with said at least one client in a user profile database, preferably a HSS, said extended user profile comprising migration server routing information; registering said at least one user equipment with a migration application server on the basis of said migration server routing information; executing a migration service hosted on a migration application server for migrating at least one service from said donating network to said receiving network; and, updating said extended user profile by removing said migration server routing information from said extended user profile.

    摘要: Systems and methods for terminating telephony communications to a mobile telephony device via a data network make use of a forwarding termination service. The forwarding termination service causes a native mobile telephony service provider that provides service to the mobile telephony device to forward incoming telephony communications directed the native telephone number of the mobile telephony device to a forwarding access number. The forwarding termination service receives telephony communications directed to the forwarding access number, and then terminates the telephony communications to the mobile telephony device via any one of multiple different methods. The mobile telephony service provider can be instructed to implement and cancel call forwarding instructions by a forwarding agent that is separate from the forwarding termination service.

    摘要: Combinational networks may provide simultaneous connectivity over networks of different type between terminals. Communication sessions on different network types such as Circuit switched and Packet switched, belonging to the same user equipment can be correlated. In case a communication session on a circuit switched network is halted by a supplementary service e.g. at an event such as acceptance of Call Hold, a communication session on a correlated packet switched network should be halted as well. A user equipment that detects the event sends a halt message to the circuit switched network and a message to the packet switched network or a session state manager node. The session state manager node either forwards the halt-message to the packet switched network, or sends a halt-message to the packet switched network when the packet switched network does not notify that a halt has occurred.

    摘要: The present invention maintains calls during transfers between different types of subsystems, even when there is a bearer path interruption at the user element due to the original connection from the transferring-out subsystem being dropped before the new connection in the transferring-in subsystem is established. The call signaling leg toward the remote endpoint of the remote party is held, while the call signaling leg toward the user element is moved from the transferring-out subsystem to the transferring-in subsystem and a new bearer path is established via the transferring-in subsystem. During transfers with a bearer path interruption, a portion of the bearer path leading to the remote endpoint may be connected to a media resource function, which will provide an announcement to the remote party. Once the user element is accessible in the transferring-in subsystem, the bearer path is further transferred to the user element via the transferring-in subsystem.

    摘要: Methods, apparatuses, and systems are presented for switching between channels of encoded media data involving receiving encoded media data including reference frames and dependent frames for a plurality of channels, wherein each dependent frame refers to at least one reference frame. Frames associated with a first channel from the plurality of channels are decoded to generate a decoded signal for the first channel. While decoding frames associated with the first channel, data corresponding to at least one reference frame associated with a second channel from the plurality of channels are stored. In response to a control signal for switching from the first to the second channel, at least one dependent frame associated with the second channel is decoded by utilizing the stored data corresponding to the at least one reference frame associated with the second channel, to generate a decoded signal for the second channel.

    摘要: Techniques are disclosed for conference expansion in a conferencing system. For example, a method of providing for conference expansion in a conferencing system includes the following steps. At least one port is reserved in an original conference allocated in the conferencing system. A hub conference is allocated, when a maximum number of participants for the original conference is reached. A calculated number of ports in the hub conference are reserved for linking to the original conference and to a corresponding number of expansion conferences when allocation of at least one of the number of expansion conferences is called for. The hub conference is linked to the original conference via the reserved port of the original conference and one of the reserved ports of the hub conference.

    摘要: Indications of which participant is providing information during a multi-party conference. Each participant has equipment to display information being transferred during the conference. A sourcing signaler residing in the participant equipment provides a signal that indicates the identity of its participant when this participant is providing information to the conference. The source indicators of the other participant equipment receive the signal and cause a UI to indicate that the participant identified by the received signal is providing information (e.g. the UI can causes the identifier to change appearance). An audio discriminator is used to distinguish between an acoustic signal that was generated by a person speaking from that generated in a band-limited manner. The audio discriminator analyzes the spectrum of detected audio signals and generates several parameters from the spectrum and from past determinations to determine the source of an audio signal on a frame-by-frame basis.
