    摘要: An apparatus for converting a first picture comprising pixels into a second picture comprising pixels is provided. The second picture is converted by executing on the first picture an adaptive process that determines prediction values of the second picture by using a number of pixel values of the first picture as prediction taps and a number of prediction coefficients that are adapted to the first picture. The apparatus comprises a prediction taps forming circuit for forming a number of prediction taps from the first picture and a picture obtained by the adaptive process and an executing circuit for executing the adaptive process by using the formed number of prediction taps and a number of prediction coefficients that are adapted to the prediction taps. The apparatus further comprises a class taps forming circuit for forming a number of class taps from the first picture and the picture obtained by the adaptive process. The apparatus further comprises a classifying circuit for classifying the number of class taps to determine a class. The executing circuit executes the adaptive process by using the formed number of prediction taps and the number of prediction coefficients corresponding to the class.
