    摘要: A roller bearing cage is disclosed in which a pair of semicircular cage halves is assembled with their mating ends thereof coming into abutment against each other. The mating ends are chamfered off to stave off bearing failure resulting from any deformation that might occur at the areas nearby the mating ends owing to large centrifugal force imposed by high-speed engines. The roller bearing cage may be completed by only joining together the semicircular cage halves with their diametral mating ends coming into engagement with one another. Each of the semicircular cage halves is composed of axially opposing semicircular rims and cage bars interposed between the rims, thus helping ensure stiffness with even weighing less. The chamfering operation is done to make even any outer peripheral areas nearby the mating ends, preparatory to cutoff operation to split a cylindrical cage stock into two halves. This helps the process management of material-removal work to make the chamfered even areas.

    摘要: Firstly, a roller and cage assembly is disclosed that achieves improved lubricating property while maintaining or increasing rigidity. While concave portions are formed so as to extend the width of the central portion of pockets to allow these to act as oil grooves, on the other hand, padding equivalent to lightening holes that are removed by providing said concave portions is performed in columns to obtain high rigidity.Secondly, a roller and cage assembly is disclosed that together with being inexpensive and having high wear resistance, suppresses the generation of heat resulting from high-speed rotation. The above-mentioned effects are obtained by forming a composite plated film at prescribed sites by uniform dispersed coprecipitation of fine particles of fluororesin.Thirdly, a roller and cage assembly is disclosed that together with suppressing the generation of heat resulting from high-speed rotation, also achieves light weight. The above-mentioned effects are obtained by using ceramic rollers.

    摘要: The present invention discloses a roller and cage assembly that inhibits generation of heat and in turn, prevents the occurrence of seizure, thereby attaining a long service life while also offering various other advantages. By cutting away the outside of a cage (1) in order to completely remove indentations (1j) formed during machining of outer retaining projections, the outer surface of those outer retaining projections (1h.sub.1) is made to coincide with the normal diameter (D.sub.0) of the cage (1). As a result of employing this constitution, even if the roller guide surfaces of the columns (1c) of the cage (1) become worn, the rollers (2) do not make contact with the outer retaining projections (1h.sub.1). In addition, since the above-mentioned indentations do not remain, the contact surface area with an attaching partner is increased, thereby reducing contact pressure, thereby allowing the object described above to be attained.

    摘要: A cage and roller type roller bearing is provided. The bearing generally include a cylindrical cage and a plurality of rollers which are maintained in position by the cage. The cage includes a pair of circumferential sections and a plurality of axial sections extending between the pair of circumferential sections and spaced apart at a predetermined pitch in the circumferential direction to thereby define a plurality of windows each receiving therein a corresponding roller rotatably and generally rectangular in shape and somewhat larger in size than the roller. Each of the axial sections has its central inner portion of its inner surface removed to define an inner recess so that the axial section is divided into a relatively thin central portion and a pair of relatively thick end portions. In the preferred embodiment, the relatively thick end portion is calked to define a pair of inner and outer roller holding projections and a pair of inner and outer grooves at the inner and outer peripheral surfaces thereof, respectively. These inner and outer roller holding projections defined by calking serve to prevent the roller from slipping away from the corresponding window, and the inner and outer grooves serve as oil pockets for reserving a quantity of lubricant therein.

    摘要: A structure for mounting an attachment member to a linear motion rolling contact bearing assembly including a bed, a table and a plurality of rolling members interposed between the bed and the table thereby providing a relative motion between the table and the bed. The mounting structure includes an alignment hole defined in the bed or table, a mounting hole defined in the attachment member, a counter member provided with a threaded hole and a bolt extending through the aligned mounting and alignment holes to be threaded into the threaded hole of the counter member with its head in engagement with the attachment member. In the preferred embodiment, the counter member has a contact surface which is substantially the same as and located opposite to a contact surface of the attachment member. In another form, the counter member may be located as sandwiched between the attachment member and the table or bed, in which case the bolt extends through the holes of the table or bed and the counter member to be threaded into the threaded hole of the attachment member.
