    摘要: A focus adjustment method of an LED print head of an image forming apparatus, including steps of: setting one end with respect to a longitudinal direction of the LED print head on a first position where a distance between the photoconductor and the LED print head becomes shorter than a designed focal length, and setting other end with respect to the longitudinal direction of the LED print head on a second position where the distance between the photoconductor and the LED print head becomes longer than the designed focal length; outputting a pattern image having a predetermined resolution; and adjusting the position of the LED print head by moving each of the one end and the other end of the LED print head, based on information of the resolution of the outputted pattern image.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a photoreceptor, an exposure device for exposing the photoreceptor with a laser beam dot by dot so as to form a dotted latent image on the photoreceptor, and a developing device for developing the dotted latent image with developer. The apparatus also includes a dot diameter correcting device for correcting a diameter of the dot formed on the photoreceptor. The dot diameter correcting device includes an image patch producing device for forming an image patch having a specific dot pattern with a laser beam having a predetermined power strength by the exposure device, an image patch detector for detecting a density level of the image patch formed on the photoreceptor, and a memory for storing data of laser power strengths with correlation to the detected density levels. With this structure, a controller controls laser power strength of the exposure device based on the correlated data stored in the memory and the density level detected by the image patch detector.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes: a photoreceptor, a charging unit which charges the photoreceptor; an exposing unit which forms a latent image onto the photoreceptor; a developing unit which develops the latent image to a toner image; a sensor which detects a line width of a toner patch formed on the photoreceptor by the exposing unit and the developing unit; and a controller which changes a background voltage based on the line width detected by the sensor during an image forming operation so that the line width is secured within a predetermined line width. The controller returns the background voltage to value adjacent to an initial setting background voltage and changes the light amount of the exposing unit by a light amount corresponding to a returning amount of the background voltage.
