摘要： The invention relates to a light source device having a high-voltage discharge lamp (1) on which a trigger line (10) for triggering the lamp is attached. The high-voltage discharge lamp (1) is formed such that an arc tube (7) having a pair of substantially cylindrical sealing portions (9R, 9L) formed on both sides in the longitudinal direction with a light emitting portion (8) in between is sealed with electrode assemblies (3R, 3L). The trigger line (10) is formed such that its one end (10a) is connected to a power supply lead (6), which is of the electrode assembly (3L) and protruded from the one sealing portion (9L), and its other end (10c) is wound around the outer circumference of the other sealing portion (9R). In the light source device, in order to drastically improve the performance for triggering and retriggering the lamp (1), a vicinity guide portion (C) including a hollow groove (11) and an insert opening (17) is formed on a cylindrical portion of the other sealing portion (9R) at a position away from the light emitting portion (8). The vicinity guide portion (C) allows the trigger line (10) to be disposed at a distance shorter than the distance from the electrode assembly to the outer circumference surface of the cylindrical portion.

摘要： A high pressure discharge lamp ballast includes an AC power supply means for supplying a square wave alternating current to a high pressure discharge lamp having a bulb in which first and second electrodes are disposed so as to face each other. In the high pressure discharge lamp ballast, one modulation period (T0) of the square wave alternating current supplied by the AC power supply means comprises a first asymmetrical current period (T1) for melting a protrusion formed at the tip of the first electrode and growing a protrusion formed at the tip of the second electrode, a symmetrical current period (Ts) for conducting current having a positive-negative symmetrical square wave, and a second asymmetrical current period (T2) for growing the first protrusion and melting the second protrusion.

摘要： The high pressure discharge lamp ballast drives a high pressure discharge lamp with a synthesized-waveform alternating current made of multiple frequency components, the high pressure discharge lamp having a pair of electrodes disposed to face each other. The ballast controls a ratio of the multiple frequency components per unit time; applies a synthesized-waveform current in accordance with the ratio to the high pressure discharge lamp; and detects a lamp parameter of the high pressure discharge lamp. The control circuit is configured to shift the ratio to a first ratio when the lamp parameter is in a first state, and shifts the ratio to a second ratio when the lamp parameter is in a second state. The control circuit changes the ratio stepwise when the ratio is shifted from the first ratio to the second ratio, or when the ratio is shifted from the second ratio to the first ratio.

摘要： Even when usable driving frequencies are limited, a lamp voltage is appropriately controlled. A high pressure discharge lamp ballast performs driving with a synthesized current waveform comprising a combination of first and second sets of current waveforms. The ballast includes: a control means for controlling content rates of each of the sets per unit time; a detection means for detecting a rotation synchronization signal for a color wheel; an output means for applying a synthesized current waveform in accordance with the synchronization signal and the content rates to a high pressure discharge lamp; and a detection means for detecting a lamp voltage. The sets are each in a waveform inverted so as to correspond to at least one of a rotational speed and segment positions of color wheel. A period of each of the first and second sets has a length equivalent to one rotation of the color wheel. The number of inversions of the second set is larger than the number of inversions of the first set. 摘要： In a frequency control for a high pressure discharge lamp ballast, short-term increase and decrease of a lamp voltage are suppressed. The high pressure discharge lamp ballast drives a high pressure discharge lamp with a synthesized-waveform alternating current made of multiple frequency components, the high pressure discharge lamp having a pair of electrodes disposed to face each other. The ballast includes: a control means for controlling a component contained ratio of the multiple frequency components per unit time; an output means for applying a synthesized-waveform current in accordance with the component contained ratio to the high pressure discharge lamp; and detection means for detecting a lamp parameter of the high pressure discharge lamp. The control circuit is configured to shift the component contained ratio to a first component contained ratio when the lamp parameter is in a first state, and shift the component contained ratio to a second component contained ratio when the lamp parameter is in a second state. The control circuit is configured to change the component contained ratio stepwise when the component contained ratio is shifted from the first component contained ratio to the second component contained ratio, or when the component contained ratio is shifted from the second component contained ratio to the first component contained ratio.

摘要： A stroke data input unit, of each of input display boards, transmits to a display unit coordinate data for characters or graphics obtained by an input board unit, by attaching identification (ID) information of the input board unit to the coordinate data. A synchronization display controller of the display unit displays the characters or graphics based on the coordinate data received through a receiver, and the ID information of the input display boards, in respective areas of a display panel. When a user makes a stepping display request, the synchronization display controller reads out the data stored in the stroke data storage unit to estimate an input time for strokes of the characters/graphics. The characters/graphics estimated to be input at approximately the same time in the input display boards, may be displayed in the respective areas of the display panel at approximately the same time. Further, when voting is conducted by inputting on a control panel a number assigned to each of the input boards to select a content displayed in any of individual display areas corresponding to the input boards, a display controller of a display server receives vote data from each of the input boards. A content which is displayed in an individual display area and polls the largest vote, is shifted to and displayed in a writing display area.
