Abstract: Vehicles, such as all terrain vehicles, can be provided with a frame and a fender assembly. The fender assembly can have layered fender panels attached together with a bolt and T-nut. A channel can be formed between the fender panels to facilitate passage of fluid along a predetermined pathway. A seat includes a compression surface for sandwiching the fender assembly with respect to the frame. Front and rear fender assemblies can be attached to the frame by a midpoint fastener passing through respective apertures in each of the front and rear fender assemblies, through a grommet, and into the frame. A stay assembly attaches a mudguard to the fender assembly, and can involve a swivel clip. Methods are also provided.

Abstract: A fuel pump apparatus for supplying fuel to an engine includes a lid member is formed divisionally from a first lid member having a fuel supply path, and a second lid member removably provided on the first lid member and having a fuel inflow path. A fuel filter is disposed between the first lid member and the second lid member. Since the fuel filter is built in the lid member, a protective case for protecting the fuel filter and a stay for attaching the fuel filter to a vehicle body are not required. The fuel pump apparatus so configured eliminates the requirement for a protective case for protecting a fuel filter and an attaching stay for attaching the fuel filter to a vehicle body and can achieve reduction of the cost.

Abstract: In a vehicle for off-road use, an engine is mounted on a lower portion of a body frame, a carburetor is attached to the engine, and a main air cleaner is attached to the carburetor. The carburetor is provided with an air vent unit attached thereto, for transferring atmospheric pressure to fuel in a float chamber in the carburetor, and a supplemental air cleaner is attached to the tip of the air vent unit. The supplemental air cleaner is disposed above the engine, and above and anterior to the carburetor and the main air cleaner. Since the supplemental air cleaner is substantially covered, from below, by the internal combustion engine, the carburetor, and the main air cleaner, fluids splashed up from a road surface can be blocked by these components, so that the supplemental air cleaner is substantially prevented from being exposed to splashed fluids.
