A communication terminal includes circuitry. The circuitry is configured to calculate, for each of a plurality of captured-image data items that are obtained by continuous image capturing, a center point of an object detection area of the captured-image data item. The circuitry is further configured to render a heat map image having a gradation of color, the gradation of color of the heat map image being determined based on weighting of colors of the heat map image with the calculated center points of the captured-image data items. The circuitry is further configured to map the heat map image on a captured-image represented by one of the plurality of captured-image data items. The circuitry is further configured to display the captured-image on which the heat map image is mapped.

An information processing apparatus includes a script file storage unit and a script execution unit. The script file storage unit stores therein a first script to convert the data format of print setting information from a first format to a second format, and a second script for converting the data format of the print setting information from the second format to the first format. At least part of the print setting information in the first format cannot be changed through an application. The print setting information in the second format can be changed through the application. The script execution unit executes at least one of the first script and the second script in accordance with a request from the application.

Setting information of a printer driver and setting information of plug-in software added to the printer driver are stored in different folders from each other, and managed independently of each other. At the time of using a function of the plug-in, the printer driver merges the setting information of the printer driver with the setting information of the plug-in, and controls the print setting or a printer device by using the merged setting information. As the setting information of the printer driver and the setting information of the plug-in are stored in the different folders, when the plug-in is removed, as for the setting information, it is only necessary to delete the setting information of the plug-in to be removed; thus, it is easy to remove the plug-in.
