    摘要: Bi-stable display systems and driving methods thereof are presented. The bi-stable display system includes a bi-stable display panel having at least one substrate, at least one electrode disposed on the substrate, and a bi-stable display medium between the at least one electrode, wherein the at least one electrode extends to pluralities of electrode pads on the at least one side of peripheral regions. A data input device for inputting display data to the bi-stable display panel includes a plurality of input terminals corresponding to the electrode pads of the bi-stable display panel. A trigger device detects relative movement between the bi-stable display panel and the data input device and generates a trigging signal to shift data address in a data shifter, thereby renewing image data in the bi-stable display panel.

    摘要: Color cholesteric liquid crystal display devices and fabrication methods thereof are provided. The color cholesteric liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate and a gap interposed therebetween. A patterned enclosed structure, formed by adhering a first patterned enclosed structure on the first substrate and a second patterned enclosed structure on the second substrate, is interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, dividing a plurality of color sub-pixel channels. A plurality of the color cholesteric liquid crystals are respectively filled into each of the color sub-pixel channel, wherein the first patterned enclosed structure is tightly adhered to the second patterned enclosed structure so as to prevent mixing of the color cholesteric liquid crystals between adjacent color sub-pixel channels.

    摘要: A display panel including a substrate, a first electrode layer, a pixel definition layer, a liquid display medium, a cap layer, and a second electrode layer is provided. The first electrode layer is disposed on the substrate. The pixel definition layer is disposed on the first electrode layer, wherein the pixel definition layer has a plurality of openings arranged in array so as to expose a part of the first electrode layer. The liquid display medium is disposed within the openings. The cap layer is connected to the pixel definition layer and covers the liquid display medium, so as to envelop the liquid display medium in the openings. The second electrode layer is disposed on the cap layer. A method of fabricating the display panel is also provided. Accordingly, the thickness of the display panel is decreased and the process of fabricating the display panel is more easily controlled.
