摘要: A propeller fan has a gap between a bellmouth and each blade tip. A leakage flow is thus produced from a positive pressure surface of a blade toward a negative pressure surface of the blade via the gap. The leakage flow develops while flowing from the leading edge of each blade toward the trailing edge, thus forming a blade tip vortex. This increases blowing noise and raises the input of the fan motor. In order to suppress the blade tip vortex caused by the leakage flow, the present invention includes recessed portions and projected portions, which are alternately formed in a portion of a blade surface of each blade corresponding to the blade tip.

摘要: An air purifier includes a housing, a centrifugal fan and an air purifying filter. The fan is substantially centered in the housing. The fan has a rotary shaft extending in a depth direction of the air purifier and a fan inlet port facing frontward. Air suctioned by the fan is blown out in a direction perpendicular to the rotary shaft. The filter is aligned with the fan along the direction perpendicular to the rotary shaft. An air inlet port is disposed in front of the fan so as to communicate with the fan inlet port. When the fan rotates, air is suctioned into the air purifier via the air inlet port. An air outlet port is arranged relative to the filter such that air purified by the filter is blown out of the air purifier through the air outlet port.

摘要: An air conditioner is disposed with a casing, a filter, an indoor heat exchanger, a blower, and a blowout passage. The casing includes a suction opening and a blowout opening. The filter is disposed downstream of the suction opening and transmits air. The indoor heat exchanger is disposed facing the filter downstream of the filter and performs heat exchange with air that passes through the indoor heat exchanger. The blower is disposed downstream of the indoor heat exchanger and generates a flow of air that is sucked in from the suction opening and is blown out from the blowout opening. The blowout passage includes an air introduction opening disposed facing and downstream of the indoor heat exchanger and guides air from the air introduction opening to the blowout opening. Additionally, the filter has an outer shape that is slanted with respect to the indoor heat exchanger.

摘要: The present invention provides a centrifugal fan by which air velocity distribution in the height direction of impellers at a fan blow-out port is made uniform and running noise is reduced, and an air conditioner whose running noise is reduced by applying the centrifugal fan thereto. The centrifugal fan is provided with a hub for fixing the rotary shaft of a motor, a main plate formed on the outer circumference of the hub, a shroud disposed to be opposed to the main plate, which forms an air passage, a plurality of impellers disposed between the main plate and the shroud, and a bellmouth disposed at the suction side of the shroud. Projections or recesses are formed on the surface of the shroud facing the bellmouth, which projections or recesses form air streams flowing from the center of the shroud toward the outer circumference thereof along the surface when running a fan. The air conditioner has a thus constructed centrifugal fan mounted therein.

摘要: A fan guard includes a plurality of extending ribs extending from a blocking plate to an outer frame, a plurality of inner ribs arranged between the extending ribs and extending from the blocking plate to the substantial center in the radial direction, and a plurality of outer ribs arranged between the extending ribs and extending from the substantial center in the radial direction to the outer frame. The number of the inner ribs is set smaller than the number of the outer ribs. Hence, strength to prevent bending of the fan guard due to load application in the axial direction is ensured and increase in ventilating resistance of forced airflow (W) from a blower fan is suppressed.

摘要: A centrifugal blower is arranged in the casing so as to extend its axis of rotation along the depth direction of an air conditioner. A pair of heat exchangers are arranged on the right and left sides of the centrifugal fan so as to superimpose on the centrifugal fan when viewed from the direction perpendicularly intersecting the axis of rotation of the centrifugal fan. In other words, each heat exchanger is arranged symmetrically with respect to a vertical plane including the axis of rotation of the centrifugal fan. Accordingly, the centrifugal fan and the heat exchanger do not overlap in the depth direction of the air conditioner in the casing. Thus, the air conditioner can be made compact in the depth direction.

摘要: A centrifugal fan has a circular main plate driven and rotated by a motor rotary shaft, a plurality of blades fixed to an outer circumferential portion of the main plate and spaced apart at predetermined intervals in a circumferential direction of the main plate, and a side plate attached to ends of the blades opposite to the main plate. An air inlet port is formed at the center of the side plate. The side plate inclines outward in centrifugal directions from the air inlet port and has an arcuate cross section with a predetermined radius of curvature. A dead water region reducing space is formed between the blades and the side plate. The dead water region reducing space forms a smooth flow between the two surfaces of each blade, bringing about desirable blade performance.
