Abstract: A method for wirelessly controlling a working device using a handheld unit, the method comprising: connecting the working device to a central server by a network, wherein the working device is uniquely identified on the network by an assigned network address, and further wherein the working device and the central server are configured so that the central server can receive data concerning operation of the working device, and control operation of the working device, via the network; positioning a device-specific identification marker at the working device, wherein the device-specific identification marker is linked to the assigned network address of the working device; scanning the device-specific identification marker with the handheld unit, whereby to identify the working device and the assigned network address linked to the working device; and using the handheld unit to cause the central server to communicate with and control the working device at the assigned network address, whereby to allow the user to control operation of the working device via the handheld device and/or to receive data concerning the working device from the central server.

Abstract: A system and related method are disclosed for controlling condensation in a space. The system includes a fan and one or more sensors for sensing environmental conditions such as temperature and relative humidity associated with the space and/or objects within the space. For instance, the sensors may sense a surface temperature of an object within the room. The system also includes a controller capable of receiving measurements from the sensor(s) and controlling the fan based on the sensed information. The system may additionally include a heater and/or a damper for transferring outside air into the space, either of which may be controlled by the controller based on the measurements.

Abstract: A temperature destratification assembly can include an outer housing. An impeller can be positioned within the outer housing between the inlet and outlet of the outer housing. The impeller can have an impeller hub and a plurality of impeller blades extending radially outward from the impeller hub. The assembly can include an impeller motor configured to rotate the impeller blades about an axis of rotation. A stator can be positioned within the outer housing between the impeller and the outlet of the outer housing. The stator can include a plurality of vanes. The stator vanes can include an upstream edge at the upstream end of the stator, a first surface extending from the upstream edge to the downstream edge of the vane, and a second surface opposite the first surface and extending from the upstream edge to the downstream edge of vane. A plurality of the vanes can have a downstream edge at the outlet of the outer housing.

Abstract: Fabric drop-down diffusers are disclosed. An example drop-down diffuser includes an upper panel including an upper fabric sheet to be held in radial tension by an upper hoop. The upper panel defines a supply air inlet. The example drop-down diffuser further includes a lower panel to be underneath and spaced apart from the upper panel. The example drop-down diffuser also includes a circumferential fabric sheet to encircle the upper panel and the lower panel. The circumferential fabric sheet is to extend downward from the upper panel to the lower panel to define an air chamber bordered by the upper panel, the lower panel and the circumferential fabric sheet. The air chamber is connected in fluid communication with the supply air inlet.

Abstract: A system for infusing ion clusters into a target environment includes a housing, a fan, and an ion cluster generation component. The housing has intake and outflow openings. Abstract: An electroactive register is shown configured to modulate the incoming airflow in an HVAC duct to form two localized airflows: a first a high-speed airflow to form a conical air curtain surrounding an occupant and limiting air exchange between inside air and air outside of the air curtain, and a second a low-speed airflow (also referred to as center air) inside the air curtain to cool or heat the occupant comfortably. The temperature gradient between inside and outside of the air curtain enables expansion of set points of HVAC. The electroactive register is also able to improve personal comfort as the center air FLS can be customized for each individual occupant.
