Abstract: A method for identifying occupant-specific settings for a vehicle comprises detecting a vehicle occupant; collecting biometric occupant data of the detected vehicle occupant; assembling a descriptor based on at least part of the collected occupant data; storing the descriptor in a database; and updating a cluster of descriptors in the database based on the assembled descriptor, wherein descriptors grouped in the cluster are close to each other, and wherein the cluster corresponds to the detected vehicle occupant. Based on the cluster and assembled descriptor can be assigned to the cluster, and vehicle setting data can be calculated that has been stored in association with the cluster. The vehicle setting data corresponds to occupant-specific settings for the vehicle. A vehicle comprises a system capable of performing such method.

Abstract: A method and device are described for determining input regions that are affected by a user input at a graphical user interface, GUI. For each input region, the following are associated with one another: (i) an actuation level of the input region, (ii) an allocation of the input region to a region of the GUI, and (iii) a blocking type of the input region. The method includes detecting a user input, wherein the user input is allocated an input position on the GUI. The method additionally includes determining at least one input region that contains the input position. Finally, the method includes evaluating the blocking type allocated to that input region in order to determine whether the user input to at least one lower-ranking input region that contains the input position is blocked.

Abstract: An input device is described which comprises a touch-sensitive surface and a force sensor, wherein the force sensor is adapted to detect a force applied to the touch-sensitive surface. The input device further comprises a vibration sensor and a control unit, wherein the control unit is coupled with the force sensor, the touch-sensitive surface and the vibration sensor. The control unit is adapted to validate a force detected by the force sensor as an input in dependence on a touch of the touch-sensitive surface and in dependence on a vibration detected by the vibration sensor. There is further described a motor vehicle which comprises such an input device. A method of detecting an input at an input device is further described.

Abstract: A display color management device includes instructions to access color profile data for each display device of a set of display devices. The color profile data is indicative of a relationship between digital color values input into a respective display device and associated physical color values displayed by the respective display device. The color profile data is representative of a color gamut of the respective display device. An overlap color gamut is determined as an overlap of all color gamuts of the set of display devices based on the color profile data. Conversion information for each display device of the set of display devices is determined based on the color profile data and based on the overlap color gamut, wherein the conversion information is configured to convert an input digital color value to dedicated output digital color values for two or more of the display devices.

Abstract: A method for connecting a mobile device with a vehicle-based system is described. The vehicle based-system comprises a first device and a second device that are both in possession of a system key. For an initial connection request between the first device and the mobile device, a token pair comprising a plaintext token and an encrypted token has been provided. The encrypted token is obtainable by applying the system key to at least the plaintext token. The mobile device is connected with the vehicle-based system by receiving, for a subsequent connection request with the second device and from the mobile device, the token pair comprising the plaintext token and the encrypted token. The token pair is verified using at least the system key. The subsequent connection is accepted upon successful verification of the token pair.
