The drop terminal assembly is rotated to deploy the second length of fiber optic cable. The second cable spool is removed. The first length of fiber optic cable is bundled. The bundled first length of fiber optic cable is removed from the first cable spool. The drop terminal is removed from the first cable spool. The drop terminal is mounted to a structure.

The tool is for inserting a ferrule alignment sleeve within a sleeve mount of a fiber optic adapter, wherein the sleeve mount defines an axial bore and radially inwardly extending fingers for retaining the ferrule alignment sleeve therewithin. The tool includes a handle and a pin extending from the handle, the pin configured to slidably receive the ferrule alignment sleeve, the pin defining longitudinal keys for mating with gaps defined between the radially inwardly extending fingers of the sleeve mount, wherein the tool can be used as a ferrule alignment sleeve insertion tool if the pin is inserted into the axial bore in a first orientation and is configured to be used as a ferrule alignment sleeve removal tool if the pin is inserted into the axial bore in a second orientation from an opposite end of the axial bore.

    摘要: A cable handling assembly is adapted to store and pay-out a telecommunications cable. The assembly includes first and second sets of pulleys, a housing, and a cable route. The first and second sets of pulleys are spaced from each other by a take-up distance that decreases upon the cable being paid-out. The housing supports the pulleys and also guides the pulleys as the take-up distance changes. The cable route is routed between the first and second sets of pulleys. A stack of pulley sets may be formed and may include at least one intermediate pulley set positioned between the first and second pulley sets. The cable route is routed between adjacent pulley sets of the stack of pulley sets. A route length decreases as the take-up distance decreases. A rack unit for organizing a plurality of telecommunications cables in a telecommunications rack may include a plurality of the cable handling assemblies. At least one of the cable handling assemblies may include a retraction apparatus that further adapts the at least one cable handling assembly to retract the corresponding telecommunications cable.

A first splice tray mounting area is disposed on the top surface and a second splice tray mounting area is disposed on the bottom surface. A plurality of trays is disposed in the first splice tray mounting area. A tray is disposed in the second splice tray mounting area.

    摘要: A break-out assembly includes an enclosure defining a first port at the first end to receive an optical cable and a second port at the second end to receive a plurality of break-out cables. Each port leads to the interior of the enclosure. A cable retention region defined within the enclosure at the second end is configured to enable the break-out cables to each secure to the enclosure at one of a plurality of axial locations. Certain types of break-out assemblies include other cable retention regions to axially and/or rotationally secure the optical cable to the enclosure. A splice retention region is disposed within the enclosure between the first port and the second cable retention region. The splice retention region receives optical splices at which optical fibers of the optical cable are spliced to optical fibers of the break-out cables.
