Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed. In an example from the perspective of a User Equipment (UE), the UE receives, via a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message, a resource configuration of a first configured grant to be used in RRC inactive state. The UE performs a first new transmission using the first configured grant in RRC inactive state. After the performing the first new transmission, the UE receives an uplink grant in RRC inactive state via Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH). The UE determines whether the uplink grant is for performance of a second new transmission or for performance of a first retransmission. The UE performs the second new transmission using the uplink grant in RRC inactive state if the UE determines that the uplink grant is for performance of the second new transmission.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed. In an example from the perspective of a User Equipment (UE), the UE receives a first Radio Resource Control (RRC) message from a network node, wherein the first RRC message is indicative of a first uplink (UL) Bandwidth Part (BWP) of a cell. In response to initiation of a procedure to use a configured grant (CG) resource in RRC inactive state, the UE performs BWP switching from a second UL BWP of the cell to the first UL BWP of the cell. The UE performs, on the first UL BWP, a first UL transmission using the CG resource. In response to completion of the procedure, the UE performs BWP switching from the first UL BWP of the cell to the second UL BWP of the cell.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed. In an example from the perspective of a User Equipment (UE), the UE receives, when the UE is in Radio Resource Control (RRC) connected state, a first Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI) in a first RRC message. The UE monitors, when the UE is in RRC connected state, a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) using the first RNTI. The UE receives a second RRC message indicative of the UE transitioning from RRC connected state to RRC inactive state. The UE determines an RNTI, comprising the first RNTI or a second RNTI, based on whether or not the second RRC message comprises the second RNTI. The UE monitors, when the UE is in RRC inactive state, the PDCCH using the RNTI.

The UE selects, from multiple carriers, a carrier for the RA procedure based on a measured Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP). The UE determines, based on the measured RSRP, whether or not to use a Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH) resource, associated with Message 3 (Msg3) repetition, for Message 1 (Msg1) transmission of the RA procedure, wherein the determination is performed after the selecting the carrier.

Abstract: A method for a wireless communications system is disclosed. In one example, a user equipment (UE) (e.g. a mobile phone), receives an indication from a network about one or more UE beams that the UE can use for transmission or reception. The UE uses the one or more UE beams for transmission or reception. If and when a certain condition is fulfilled, for example, there is a beam tracking failure, the UE transmits or receives a specific signal via a specific UE beam. The specific UE beam is different from the one or more UE beams that were indicated by the network, and is selected by the UE.
