Abstract: Example embodiments relate to a user equipment that can receive a cellular broadcast message comprising a data element identifying the cellular broadcast message as a wireless emergency alert. The network address information (e.g., URL) can identify a network location associated with multimedia content to be transmitted to the user equipment, the multimedia content stored at a repository associated with a server device. The user equipment can, in response to detecting that the cellular broadcast message comprises the data element, send a content request to the server device associated with the network location identified by the network address information, and subsequently it can receive the multimedia content from the server device and provide the multimedia content via a graphical user interface displayed on a screen of the user equipment.

Abstract: A context-aware network service engine is employed to support integrated network. In one aspect, the network service engine can receive a message associated with the user's intent and/or situation via a standard and/or open application programming interface (API). Based on an analysis of the message with context data and/or defined policy data, the network service engine can establish procedures to provide integrated services. The integrated services can comprise multiple communication services that are initiated simultaneously (or substantially simultaneously) in response to receiving the message. As an example, the context data can comprise user-related data, real-time network resource availability, presence data, and the like. As an example, the network services can be initiated concurrently and/or in a specified order.

Abstract: Determining if non-voice emergency services (NOVES) are available is accomplished via an indicator provided via a control channel and/or via a query to a network entity. For example, a NOVES indicator can be provided, via a control channel message, to a communications device, indicating whether non-voice emergency services (NOVES) are available or not available. Additionally, capabilities of public safety answering points (PSAPs) providing NOVES can be included. For example, the indicator can include information as to whether an identified PSAP can receive a text based emergency message, an emergency message comprising an image, and emergency message comprising audio, and/or an emergency message comprising video. In another example configuration, a communications device can query a communications network to determine the availability of NOVES and PSAP capabilities. A response to the query can include an indication as to whether non-voice services are available, and, if appropriate, the types of NOVES services available.
