Abstract:
The disclosed technology is directed towards determining that information of interest, corresponding to as a meaningful event, is available to be captured and saved, and capturing the information. When an event is determined to satisfy a defined meaningful event likelihood criterion, sensor data (which can include media data), time data and location data are collected and associated with the meaningful event, e.g., in a data store. A presentation/package is generated from the various data, and maintained for subsequent access, e.g., for sending to a recipient. The presentation can include annotation data. The presentation can be conditionally marked for future presentation if and when certain condition data is satisfied. The presentation can be associated with at least one conditional gift.
Abstract:
The disclosed technology is directed towards inserting user-personalized or other user-related supplementary media content into primary media content being presented to the user. The personalized media content can be inserted into available insertion slots associated with the primary media content. The inserted content is based on the context of the primary media, e.g., a location or theme of a movie scene. For example, upon obtaining primary media content that is video, supplementary media content related to a group of frames of the primary media content can be determined. Supplementary media content is combined with the primary media content at a presentation position associated with the group of frames to output modified media content. For a video, for example, the supplementary content can be inserted between scenes, overlaid onto a scene, or presented proximate a scene.

Abstract:
A method for facilitating a purchase using a biometric identifier includes receiving a biometric identifier and transaction information from a point of sale device. A user is then identified using the biometric identifier. It is then determined whether the user is authorized to complete a transaction identified by the transaction information. A payment request is transmitted to a financial institution server associated with the user in response to determining that the user is authorized to complete the transaction. An approval is transmitted to the point of sale device in response to receiving a payment request approval from the financial institution server. A customer copy of an electronic receipt is transmitted to a user device designated by the user and a merchant copy of the electronic receipt is transmitted to a merchant device designated by the merchant in order to provide both parties with a record of the transaction.
Abstract:
Enhanced biometric authentication is achieved by combining a user's inherent biometric data with the user's knowledge of a secret glyph. In one embodiment, a touchpad is provided on which the user may use a finger to indicate a plurality of strokes that form a distinct glyph. Image stabilization may be used to extract a readable fingerprint from the strokes, and the glyph and finger print are matched to a stored profile. The glyph may be one or more alphanumeric characters that represent a password. The user can then enter the password on the touch pad with his finger. If the fingerprint and password both match, the user is authenticated.
Abstract:
The disclosed technology is directed towards determining a sub-content element within electronically presented media content based on where a user is currently gazing within the content presentation. The sub-content elements of the book have been previously mapped to their respective page and coordinates on the page, for example. As a more particular example, a user can be gazing at a certain paragraph on a displayed page of an electronic book, and that information can be detected and used to associate an annotation with that paragraph for personal output and/or sharing with others. A user can input the annotation data in various ways, including verbally for speech recognition or for audio replay. Queries regarding a gazed-at sub-content element can also be handled, including for books and video such as movies,
Abstract:
The technology described herein is generally directed towards collecting digital twin datasets from individual users to represent their individual physical, emotional, chemical and/or environmental conditions. A user's digital twin is matched to one or more other digital twins with similar physical, emotional, chemical, and/or environmental conditions. The matched digital twins can share data and learnings via a virtual anonymous relationship. Multiple digital twins that represent users with similar conditions may be found and treated collectively as a group; a user via his or her digital twin can poll the group to receive and process responses from each respondent. A digital twin can be a therapist or a researcher who emulates a patient and uses the emulated digital twin as a proxy to monitor and process the results of other digital twins.
Abstract:
Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for scored factor-based authentication. A verification service can receive an authentication request from a requestor, wherein the authentication request identifies a transaction. The verification service can determine a risk associated with the transaction, an authentication score based upon the risk, and a number of groups of authentication factors, each of which can satisfy the authentication score. The verification service can provide factor group data identifying the number of groups of authentication factors to the requestor.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are describe wherein a service provider provides media services that can include, but are not limited to, telephone, radio, interactive and television services. A user residence and/or a user receiving device are designated as a primary location or device for receiving the services of the service provider. An authorization center authenticates a request to provide the service(s) at one or more secondary location/device. The verification process can include, but is not limited to, password(s), Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) and biometric identifiers such as voice, retina, finger print and DNA.
Abstract:
A pre-registration procedure is utilized to create a user profile for a user of a multi-factor authentication (“MFA”) service. A client application installation procedure is utilized to install a client application on a computing device that is to be utilized as an authentication factor for the MFA service. A computing device enrollment procedure is utilized to enroll the computing device on which the client application was installed for the MFA service. A voice enrollment procedure is utilized to create a voice print for the user of the computing device that is to be utilized as an authentication factor for the MFA service. An authentication procedure is utilized to provide multi-factor authenticated access to a service, such as an online service that provides access to sensitive account information.
